Ferry

How to Get to Zakynthos Island by Ferry If you’re joining us from mainland Greece, you’ll need to take a ferry to reach Zakynthos (Zante). Here’s everything you need to know to make your trip smooth and stress-free: ⸻ ✈️ Step 1: Travel to the Port of Kyllini The ferries to Zakynthos depart from the port of Kyllini, located in western Greece. You can reach Kyllini in the following ways: • From Athens: 🕒 ~3.5–4 hour drive or bus ride • From Patras: 🕒 ~1.5 hour drive 🚍 Buses run from Patras to Kyllini with KTEL (Greek intercity bus system) 📝 We suggest planning to arrive in Kyllini at least 30–45 minutes before your ferry departs. ⸻ 🚢 Step 2: Take the Ferry from Kyllini to Zakynthos • Ferry Duration: ~1 hour and 15 minutes • Main Operator: Levante Ferries • Schedule: Ferries run several times a day during the summer 💡 Tickets can be purchased online or directly at the port. ⸻ 🎟️ Ticket Details • One-way ticket (passenger): ~€12–15 • Car ticket (optional): Additional ~€40–50 (if bringing a rental car) • How to Book: Visit levanteferries.com or use a travel app like Ferryhopper for easy booking and mobile boarding passes. • ID: Bring a valid ID or passport for boarding • Arrival Tip: Most ferries board about 20–30 minutes before departure ⸻ 🚖 Step 3: Arriving in Zakynthos Town Once you arrive on the island, the ferry will dock in Zakynthos Town, the island’s main port. From there: • Taxi & Shuttle Services are available outside the terminal • Car Rentals: Can be arranged in advance or upon arrival • Hotel Transfers: If your hotel offers a shuttle, contact them beforehand ⸻ 💡 Extra Tips for Guests • 🧳 Pack light if walking on board — rolling luggage is easiest on the ramps • 📱 Download your boarding pass on your phone if booking online • ☀️ Bring sunscreen & water—it gets hot waiting on the ferry deck in summer • 📅 Book early for peace of mind
