So we initially started talking on a dating app, it turned out that we actually lived about 2-3 blocks away from each other and shared a mutual interest in "old school" Horror movies. The start of the date did not go as planned, we were going to see a movie called The Possession and I did not want this "stranger" to know where I lived so I asked him to meet me at the train station. Well, it started pouring on my way to the train station, so I had to walk back home and change clothes. I ended up having to tell Paul where I lived for him to pick me up in time, so we didn't miss the movie. Ironically, I lived down a dead-end block in "The last house on the left" (also the name of a horror movie). After the movie we went to Applebee's which at the time was my favorite place to eat; we each ironically ordered a meal that the other person normally gets which was quite funny for both of us. When time came for dessert, I said to Paul "I will get Desert if you split it with me" and so we had desert. It wasn't until much later that I learned he is not much of a fan of deserts😅💙. We ended the night sitting in Paul's car parked somewhere near the water in Long Island, just talking, sharing stories, and showing each other photos. It was by far a great night!

We were on our Annual trip to Savannah, GA and added Atlanta to a second part of the trip to take part in a mini–Walking Dead tour and just visit the area along with Paul’s cousins. We did "The Walking Dead" tour in Senoia, GA. Most of you know we are huge fans of the show, Senoia is where season 3 was primarily filmed as well as the seasons that involved Alexandria. Well, the tour guide started the tour with explaining the fact that she was going to "start the tour backwards because when it starts getting dark, certain areas will not have any light". Our tour start time was at 5:30PM and it was the beginning of August; first I tried to just think to myself and wonder how long this walk was going to be? Sunset was after 8pm 😅? Then I stupidly wondered well We're in Atlanta maybe the sun sets at a different time 🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️. It used to sound like a super funny story to me but with each time I tell it I realize more and more that I was such a clueless idiot 🤣🤣. At least that just added to the surprise. We ended the tour in a Gazebo in town where the tour guide showed us a bunch of photos from the film and pointed out each area in the town, they were filmed in. As she finished with the photos I proceeded to walk out of the Gazebo and Paul was behind me (apparently, he was not following us out of the Gazebo) he said, "but before we go" and I turned around and there he was on one knee with this beautiful ring that had blue diamond’s 💙💙. of course, I said yes!!
