FAQs

Question

Where exactly will the ceremony be held?

Answer

The private ceremony will take place in the Fourth Floor Gallery North of San Francisco City Hall. Please plan to arrive with enough time to clear security at the entrance of city hall and make your way to the fourth floor.

Question

What are my transportation options to SF City Hall?

Answer

Traffic in the Bay Area can be heavy, so it's worth budgeting a little more time than expected for the drive. If you are driving yourself, please allow up to half an hour for finding parking. Taking an Uber, Lyft, or taxi is by far the most convenient way to arrive. Simply ask to be dropped off at the front door of city hall. Depending on where you are staying, public transportation might be convenient. The nearest BART station is Civic Center.

Question

Where should I park for the ceremony?

Answer

If you feel comfortable hunting for a spot, parallel parking, and walking a short distance, metered street parking is available on Van Ness, McAllister, Grove, and Dr. Carlton B. Goodlett Place. If you don't mind paying higher rates, the Civic Center Garage, and the University of CA Hastings Garage are the closest.

Question

How long does it take to get from SF City Hall to the restaurant?

Answer

It is about a 15 to 25 minute drive from SF City Hall to Greens, depending on traffic.

Question

Where should I park at the restaurant?

Answer

The ample parking lot located inside the Fort Mason Center (past the Fort Mason Center signs) offers paid hourly parking. There is also free parking in the Yacht Harbor lot outside the Fort Mason Center grounds along the water. Parking there is limited and signs restrict certain areas – be sure to read all posted signs!
