Angela

Bride

Oh, where do I even begin! Langston came into my life when I least expected it. Oh, God works in mysterious ways. We met on our very first day of Architecture School. According to Langston, I caught his eyes that very day but, unfortunately for him, I have bad eyesight haha. However, later that week, our class was invited to South Coast Pizza. That was the day that I finally laid eyes on him and boy oh boy did I like what I saw! In all seriousness, I saw a man who was very personable & quick-witted. Afterwards, a group of us went to get supplies. That was when Langston and I first spent time with one another and I could not get enough. We dropped our supplies off at school and we walked back together to Stokely Hall where we both stayed. I just remember him being such a gentleman and such an easy-going person to talk to. We began dating 6 months after our first interaction and the rest was history. Langston and I have gone through our fair share of trials and tribulations. We have overcome long distance between TN and SC during summers/the pandemic. We both travelled abroad and had to grapple with both distance and being time zones apart. With all that said, I would not trade it for the world because we became stronger at the end of the day. He has truly shown me the true meaning of unconditional love and I cannot wait to spend FOREVER with my true love. Therefore encourage one another to build each other up, just as in fact you are doing 1 Thessalonians 5:11

Langston

Groom

Angie caught my attention from the very beginning- on our first day of college. I quickly noticed how easy she was to talk to, and how infectious her personality is. Since I didn't have a car on campus my first year at UT, I was Angie's "passenger princess," a name Angie still likes to refer to me by. Our first time hanging out one-on-one was during a cooking class in Stokely Hall, where we bonded over our perceived cooking skills- hers acquired from years watching her dad in the kitchen and mine from working in restaurants for a couple of years. I remember thinking even back then that I would love to one day be cooking together in our own kitchen. A couple cookbooks and dozens of pinned Pinterest posts later, we still love cooking together to this day. In our 5+ years together we've seen a little bit of everything. From multiple summers (and a pandemic) states apart to a full year of long distance across the Atlantic Ocean, we have grown to always appreciate our time together. Angie is truly a unique person for being able to handle everything I've ever thrown at her, and respond with grace and compassion each time. I'm fortunate to be marrying someone who I look up to and admire as a model for how each of us should approach life- a carefree attitude balanced by a fearless tenacity to conquer whatever she sets her mind to. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Ephesians 4:2
