From enemies to best friends—just kidding! We both thought the other didn’t like us when we first met; classic mix-up! I met Meevs during our social work program at TWU, and we quickly bonded over our shared interests. We’ve been through so much together, always supporting each other and genuinely enjoying each other’s company. We couldn’t be separated and ended up following each other to our Master’s program at UTA. Meevs is an amazing friend who can laugh at the most random things and has a huge heart for those she cares about. She quickly became my go-to person for everything—whether I had exciting news to share, needed a shoulder to cry on, or just wanted someone to embrace my craziness and be crazy with me. This KPOP-loving girl has stolen my heart in ways I can’t even explain. I can’t wait to continue our hysterical laugh sessions and tackle life together. I can’t imagine not having her by my side, especially as we dive into our bridal era together—because, of course, we have to do everything together!

Josh, or as most people know him, Akku, and I have been inseparable for quite some time now. In 2015, Akku and his family finally made the move to the U.S., and it transformed our relationship from seeing each other once every five years to every day. Our bond only grew stronger as life took us on different paths. Our daily FaceTime calls, countless trips abroad, and spontaneous visits to each other’s cities just to hang out have made me realize how truly blessed I am to have Akku in my life. He’s surprisingly one of the most dependable guys I know. We’ve been through a lot together, and no matter the situation, I always know Akku will be right there, ready to answer my call. I couldn’t ask for a better best friend—someone who constantly encourages me to be the best version of myself and to spend time with God. The amount of fun we have, even during those moments when we’re just on a call saying nothing, is immeasurable. Everyone needs an Akku in their life. I feel incredibly blessed to call Akku my best friend and best man. I’m honored to have him stand by my side on our big day!

Her name is Hannah! Oh, Hannah... This girl is probably the most free-spirited person I know. She’s authentically herself, no matter where she is or who’s around. Seriously, she’s the boldest, most loving, and coolest person ever! Hannah became a close friend after I started going to Metro Church, and she checked up on me almost every week. Being new to a church as an adult can feel like your'e back in a school cafeteria and have no idea where to sit, but Hannah made sure I felt right at home with her. We started hitting the gym together almost every day, and our talks and constant hangouts brought us so close that we ended up sharing everything! We bond over our love for music—especially Chris Brown—and our shared love for God, plus so many other things. This girl has gone from close friend to best friend to sister, and I honestly can’t imagine doing life without her. I’m so grateful for her and everything she’s become, and I can’t wait to turn around and see her right by my side on my wedding day!

In the summer of 2005, Sam and his family migrated over to the US. My days of being the baby of the family, and the only boy were over. As normal 8 year old's, Sam and I fought A LOT. This was our only chance to try out WWE moves on an actual person without getting in trouble. Sometimes we were trying to hurt eachother, and other times, we were trying to kill eachother. Growing up together not too far apart has kept us always in contact. Sam and I got to experience college together in Denton, some of the craziest times. As we navigated life post grad, Sam and my relationship continued to grow stronger. Sam is one of the smartest, and wisest guys I know. We have been through quite a bit together, and I am so thankful for being able to call him family. Honored to have him stand by my side as best man for our big day!

My childhood bestie for 21 years! Sharon and I met at 4 years old in Detroit through a mutual friend. We lived just streets apart and bonded over our shared birthday, never missing a call on that special day for 21 years. Even after she moved away, we stayed in touch until I moved to Texas, when we lost contact. Then I got an iPod, and we reconnected like no time had passed! Sharon pushes me out of my comfort zone, and I truly needed that in my life. We’ve kept up our weekly FaceTime calls, whether we’re cleaning our rooms together or just enjoying each other’s company in silence. We always say God made us friends because no one else could handle us if we were twins! We’re so different but complement each other perfectly, always encouraging each other to achieve great things. Our Kindergarten selves would be amazed at how far we’ve come and I am so glad to have her by my side on my big day!

The one and only Kevin Johnson..... Kevin and I met on the frist day of Police Academy, and I never thought that our friendship or bond would become something so special! Going through academy with Kevin was probably one of the best experiences ever. From getting constantly yelled at, and getting our butt's kicked emotionally, physically, and mentally.....I dont think I would have made it through without this guy! Kevin and I have shared some of the funniest, and craziest moments together while on patrol, (mainly him watching me sleep) which has grown our brotherhood like no other. I cant count the amount of times that Kevin has (literally) saved my life in the craziest situations! Doing life with Kevin has been one of the greatest blessings, and I'm honored to have him stand by my side on our big day!

My Sisterrrr! Kripa has been my answered prayer since I was a little girl. Growing up with only a brother and boy cousins around made it tough to navigate womanhood and emotions on my own. But with Kripa, I finally have that big sister who teaches me in ways no one else could. Having a sister has been absolutely amazing. Her guidance and wisdom are truly something I hold dear to my heart. She’s shown me what gentleness and compassion truly mean while still being down to dance and act like a fool. We both love our sassy sides and how we drive my brother crazy! Who would've thought he wanted a better version of me to marry? Kripa is the most forgetful out of the group, but when it really matters she is always there. I’m so glad to have a built-in best friend, no matter what life throws our way. Her heart for Jesus and her love to serve inspire me every day, and I thank God for her constantly. I’m beyond grateful to have her by my side on my wedding day!

One of the biggest blessings of my life! Jeswin and I have known each-other our whole lives; We grew up in the same church as kids, and then parted ways for a long number of years, then finally rekindling as we realized we were both in the same city for college. At the end of our freshman year in Denton, Jeswin and I created a strong bond that I cherish to this day! From becoming roommates, countless Madden tournaments, and many long, sometimes childish convos about Taxes, Jeswin has become a pivotal person in my life, someone that I can count on for anything and everything. Jeswin has been with me through the high's and low's of life, and always kept me in check, and for that I will always be grateful for. Throughout college, Jeswin and I could always be found either in bed asleep, or on our XBOX. Jeswin ultimately found a job that pays him to do just that- A Firefighter. Luckily, the great city of Mesquite found reason to hire us both, so at-least we get to work together! One of the coolest experiences is being able to go on calls with Jes- a opportunity i'll never take for granted! Honored to have this friendship with Jeswin, and could not have had it any other way than to have him stand by my side on our big day!

My other sisterrrr! Steph is the unexpected yet incredible sister who came into my life! I was there the day she met my cousin Jesstin, and I could tell right away that she was someone special, but I never imagined she would become this important to me. Steph and I clicked instantly because we share so many similarities, but she’s definitely the nicer version! She’s probably the kindest person I know, with not a mean bone in her body. If you cry, she’ll cry right alongside you. I bet she’s tearing up reading this right now! Having her in my life is such a blessing, and I can’t wait to do life together since we’re stuck with each other forever. Whenever she’s around, I know I’m in for a great time and having a blast. Being in our bridal era together and planning has been an absolute joy. I honestly don’t know what I would do without her, and I’m so grateful to have her standing by my side!

My older brother! Jeff has been such an awesome big brother and role model to me. Even as a kid, our families were close friends and I remember Jeff being the guy I wanted to grow up and be exactly like. Although years passed and contact was lost, in my book, Jeff was always that cool chachen. Fast forward 15 years, and Jeff entered our family when he married my oldest sister. My plans of silently trying to get my sister and him together finally worked, and now they're married! Jeff has been such a huge impact in my life in these past years. So blessed to have an older brother like him, and to be able to share so many interests together! Most importantly, he is the only one that can take down my oldest sister Linda, and for that I am truly grateful. Honored to have him stand by my side on our big day!

My Kitty! One of my favorite memories of Christy and me was during ICPF 2015 in Houston when we were walking in the rain to the evening session and ended up getting lost in the dark. Of course, Christy was leading the way, and honestly, not much has changed since then! That year at ICPF, I realized just how important Christy would be in my life. She didn’t just become my best friend; she became family when she married my cousin Joel. When freshman year of college rolled around, Christy became our honorary roommate, always lounging on our couch. She’s my adventurous buddy, always up for anything and ready to stay up late just to watch the sunrise. Christy is crazy but yet calm one in the "Gabe Duncan" group. She is one of the smartest and wisest people I know, and I can always count on her for advice—she’s just a phone call away (since she decided to leave Texas). Having her in my life is such a blessing, and I’m so grateful to have her by my side!

It's so hard to admit this, but Goddy is one of the funniest guys I know. From college, to travel buddies, to now being able to be apart of the same family! My first and favorite roomie! I love all my roommates, but Sheryl truly holds a special place in my heart. If you had told me in high school that Sheryl Mathew would become one of my best friends, I would have laughed! We were always around each other through mutual friends, but we never really connected until we decided to live together in college, and that changed everything. Sheryl is probably the funniest person I know; being around her guarantees laughter because she’s always cracking jokes. She’s definitely the comedian of our “Gabe Duncan” group! Don’t worry, she insists she’s serious and different every time her birthday rolls around. With her by my side, life feels so much simpler, and the stress just melts away. She’s one of the most genuine people in my life, always there for you no matter what. I’m so grateful that one decision to live together transformed our lives forever, leading to her standing up there with me on my wedding day!

Dominick and I met when he adopted himself into our academy class one random day, and I guess we all accepted him? Fast forward a couple of years, and Dom has grown in and fit in just perfectly. Thankful for my friendship and countless hours spent together (also watching me sleep) at work. Dom is your typical SWAT matcho man at first glance, but he's a teddy bear at heart who spends 3 hours combing his mustache before work every night. Who else can go from serving warrants at 3AM to going home to do voice-over for his weenie dog IG page?? Not many. If you haven't already, go follow his best work - @mr.beanstheween. My LeeLee! Alisha and I have been friends since our Freshman year of high school, and she has truly been one of the constants in my life that I am so grateful for. She has stood by me through everything, and together we’ve grown into the women we are today. We went to college together, became roommates, and now we’re getting married and becoming bridesmaids for each other. Life with Alisha has been nothing short of amazing. She’s the most caring person I know, always looking out for those she loves. The only time you really see her crazy side is when we’re playing games together—just be careful, or she might throw a table....just speaking from experience! Alisha brings such joyful energy wherever she goes, and being around her always lifts my spirits. She’s the foodie of our “Gabe Duncan” group, so when we travel, we know we’re going to try the best food each place has to offer. Life with Alisha is always an adventure, and I can’t wait to continue this journey with a best friend like her. I’m so grateful to be in our bridal era and to have her by my side on my wedding day!

Austin and I go way back- back to when I was born. Austin has been a part of my life from ever since i could remember. Our countless trips to New York and being able to spend it with him and Ashley was one of the best parts of my childhood. Austin has become such a vital role in my life! One of the greatest cook's and grill masters I know, and someone who is always willing to throw down a "quick" 5 course meal. Growing up, Austin was the guy that knew how to do everything, and he still is to this day. It was such an awesome experience being able to grow up with him and learn from him. My Shanny! Shannon and I have known each other since high school, and she was the sporty, cool drummer girl who drove a truck at 16. We always joke that Shannon is the mom of our "Gabe Duncan" group and our Denton crew, but its true because of how caring Shannon is toward her friends and family. She is the most loving, caring, and supportive person in my life. I truly look up to Shannon for how she carries herself both personally and spiritually. Her heart for Jesus is inspiring and motivates me to deepen my own spiritual journey. Shannon has been a constant presence in my life, and I feel so privileged to have shared so many experiences with her. She’s always been a guiding light, never hesitating to keep us in check when we need it. From high school to college and being roommates, I’m incredibly grateful to have a best friend like Shannon, and I can't wait to have her by my side on my wedding day!

My older brother! Noel came into our family about 2 years ago when he married my older sister Lea, but has always treated me like a little brother ever since he's gotten to know me. I dont know if Noel and I have ever said anything nice to each-other to this day, but i'm sure that day will come eventually. He's the biggest smack talker I know, on and off the court. He's still working on letting his game do the talk... Grateful for our brotherhood, and our witty conversations to one another. Noel has become a huge role model in my life these past few years, and so honored to call him my big brother. Unfortunately, he too, is not strong enough to take down my older sister Lea. My Beckmol! Becky is the little sister I never knew I needed. She became my roommate in college, and once I got to know her, I discovered how big her heart is for everyone. You’ll love her from the first moment you meet! Like sisters we have shared laughter, bickering, tears, and unforgettable memories. Life with her is always fun, especially when we’re joking around (mostly about Shawn). When Lance visited me in college, Becky would always be around. They would pick me up from class together, she would eat with us, and even run errands with us. She truly was the little sister that always wanted to come with us everywhere, but we loved having her around. Even though she’s younger than me, I’ve learned so much from her and admire her greatly. My new big sisterrrr! The first time I met Lea, I was super nervous because she can be really intimidating. But getting to know her over the past couple of years, I’m so grateful to have a sister like her. That made her a bit intimidating when I first met her because I really wanted to impress her. But over these past couple of years, she’s stepped into that big sister role in my life too. Linda is the go-to person for any life advice and has been there for us, especially with all these big new events happening. I’m so grateful for her because she’s taught me that no matter what challenges we face, there’s always a way to solve the problem. Her gentleness and love are truly special. She's also another person that is able to put Lance in check, which is great to have. And did you know she’s the funniest one among the siblings?
