#upgraded

After weeks of putting off meeting, Jarred finally took time to meet up with me at Ala Moana Mall. We met up for casual steak plates then I suggested to head upstairs to my favorite bar on island, Mai Tai's. It was a Wednesday night so it wasn't busy. We both said we would have only 1 drink so we ordered and closed the tab immediately. Unfortunately for our waitress, our conversations keep going so we ended up ordering drinks and closing our tabs 3 more times after the first time LOL. We finally decided to say goodbye because I thought I was keeping him out too long. Jarred mentioned the area he lived near and I REALLY didn't want to stop talking to him so right before his exit, I texted him and he replied back with "I literally don't have anything in my house but we can chill on my air mattress." I ended up at his house before he got there- whoops lol. Ever since then, we've been quite literally inseparable. Side note: We actually ended up at Mai Tai's for our first date, one year anniversary, and to celebrate our engagement!

How do you trick a photographer into her own photo session? Jarred schemed out such a unique way to fool me! He had our photographer, Kaila (@kailakeyphoto), DM me to "book" a session with me for some headshots of her. She then suggested that we can swap headshots (I take pictures of her, she takes pictures of me) so that I would put some effort into looking presentable that day. She even had me unknowingly pick out my own photo session location! I asked Jarred if we had plans on the day the photoshoot was, after he told me no we didn't I was so butthurt and bummed (I had hopes that he would propose soon lol.) But he offered to accompany me to my "photoshoot" since it was so far away. I actually told him to not come with me a bunch of times but he persisted lol. We ended up walking around the location and as I was taking some test shots, he interrupted me (the first picture from our engagement shoot was me pissed off he was bugging me) and told me the photoshoot was actually for me! He had flowers waiting for me at home, booked a hotel room for that night, AND made a reservation for an amazing rooftop restaurant that night. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect or thoughtful proposal!
