I asked will you marry me and she said yes! ... Ok, ok, that’s not all. Here is the story of how I asked the woman of my dreams to marry me. Here we go!~ When I got the ring it was around the beginning of January. I faced the dilemma of proposing on her birthday or our trip to San Antonio in February (around my birthday.) It ended up being on her birthday, which made it that much more special. The day was just perfect!... 40-55 degrees outside, windy, and wet! But I had an umbrella, so everything was ok! We had a get together with some family and friends for dinner, but I wanted to propose before that, thus the biggest phase of the night was underway! I had to play it cool despite my total exuberance. I told Angela we were going to go to the Water Gardens to walk around for a little bit.. The weather was still "the best!" It got colder, still wet outside, but I had the umbrella, so everything was fine!.. Anyway, we made it to an "under construction" gardens. You can bet I was going crazy internally! Calling an audible, I said we should go to Heritage Park! It was still lit up from Christmas (great for pics!) So as we WALKED over there, we were talking holding hands. She laughed, asking "Do you have to pee? You're shaking a lot!" Maybe I did, but I was nervous! We walked around the park for a bit, but when she was ready to go, she made the comment, "Are you ready? My feet are cold and wet." And the time had come (cue music) Now I've never been the best at speeches, and so I fell pretty flat on my face when I tried to tell her how much I love her. But I did it anyway, and the rest is history! (Yes she cried) We are constantly pushing forward, helping each other along this journey that has been set before us. Putting God first, we strengthen our bond together and with Him, and the unwavering Grace and support that has been shown to us is incredible. Thank you for the never-ending love we've received. We hope you can share in the celebration with us!
Our "How We Met" is quite funny. If it were a TV show or something, people would have been frustrated by how many times we encountered each other, caught one's eye thinking "Oh it would be nice to get to know that person, but I'll probably never see them again), but didn't do anything each time (Thank God for second chances)! We had met several times before ACTUALLY meeting. The first time it was late one night my band and I went to Whataburger after a show where she worked. She brought my Sandwhich out and I remember thinking "Wow she's pretty." As She asked me if I needed anything else while taking an order on her headset as well. After that, we briefly saw each other at the library, she was with my friend and I was talking to him while she was walking up. THEN she came out to a show with the friend I saw in the library. We talked a bit, and I guess we made an impression on each other because we added each other on some social media (Snapchat and Instagram), but then didn't talk after that for about 3-4 months, where we saw each other again at Whataburger. She sent me a picture of some bandmates ordering and captioned "Hey look who I found!!" Now I had already walked in and tried to wave at her, but she didn't see me (yup, one of tbose moments) and she Snapchats me? We were sitting only a few tables away! Feeling compelled, I got up and went to say hi. I ended up inviting her to sit with us and we started talking after that. We saw each other multiple times, but didn't realize that we kept running into each other without us knowing! God surely has a sense of humor!
