Fast‑forward nearly six years. Out of nowhere, Broc suggested a trip to Puerto Rico claiming “for no reason at all.” Angela didn’t question it, well… maybe a little bit, but she simply packed her bags. Her father joined them, turning the trip into something even more meaningful. Visiting family in fun loving party setting, reminiscing by seeing old family photos while also honoring the loved ones that have passed visiting them at their final resting place. They spent their days exploring the island, soaking in the culture, and reconnecting with the place where Angela’s father was born and raised. It felt like home in a way only heritage can explain. Then came the moment. In Ponce, Broc asked Angela to take a walk along the beach. The sun was warm, the waves gentle, and the sand scattered with shells. Just the two of them. No distractions. No noise. Broc bent down, pretending he wanted to show her a few beautiful shells he found. Angela leaned in, unsuspecting, smiling at the simplicity of the moment.
