Tyler and Angela first met in 2019 through the Bumble App. After messaging each other for a few weeks, they agreed to meet in person at Holland Park—a public place just in case one of them was a serial killer! Thanks a lot, Criminal Minds. From there, Tyler and Angela made an instant connection. Spending close to two hours walking around the park and getting to know each other before having to stop as it was getting dark.

A little after two years of dating, Tyler realized Angela was the woman he wanted to marry. Tyler shopped around for an engagement ring and found one just in time! Angela invited Tyler to join her and her family to a cabin near Hocking Hills State Park in Ohio for a 4-day vacation. Tyler did not have a formal plan to pop the question but knew this was the time! To Tyler's dismay, Angela didn't feel well on the last full day of the vacation but she persevered and the entire group went hiking. When the group paused in front of a waterfall at the end of the Conkle's Hollow trail, Tyler got down on one knee in front of Angela and asked her, "Will you be my Minnie [Mouse]?" After a moment of shock, Angela exclaimed, "YES!" and her family rejoiced. Once they returned to the world of cell signal, Angela and Tyler let friends and family know about the joyous news—Angela showing off the ring, and Tyler telling everyone he finally wore down a girl enough to agree to marry him.
