The name of the venue is "Key Largo Lighthouse" and we will be celebrating our wedding on "Hidden Beach." The address is: 98990 Overseas Hwy, Key Largo, FL 33037
The average temperature in Key Largo in March is 78F. March is also South Florida's dry season so humidity will hopefully be at a minimum. Please bring summer clothing, SPF and bathing suits!
The easiest and cheapest way to find ALL of the flights available on the days you would like to travel is to look at Google Flights: https://www.google.com/travel/flights The closest Airport is Miami Dade International Airport (MIA). ***PLEASE DO NOT RESEARCH FLIGHTS ON EXPEDIA, ORBITZ OR OTHER THIRD PARTY WEBSITES. PRICING WILL BE MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE.***
If you are flying into MIA, you will need to rent a car to get to the venue. The drive is about 45 minutes South of the airport. We suggest to rent a car with other families/couples to split costs!
If coming from Ohio, it is definitely possible to drive - although it will be a long haul! We suggest stopping half way through, possibly near Atlanta, GA or North Florida to rest. The drive from Cincinnati is 18 hours.
There are two houses on the Venue property that are reserved for family of the couple only. Check in is on March 29th at 4pm and check out is 10am on April 1st. If you are not staying on the venue property, visit the "Travel" tab in the menu above. The hotels listed in the travel tab offer a special rate if attending a wedding at Key Largo Lighthouse. Please read the instructions under each hotel VERY carefully so you know how to receive the discounted rate.
Yes! There is ample parking at Key Largo Lighthouse. Please make sure you park on the "Hidden Beach" side, NOT "Coral Beach." That is their other venue!
We encourage cocktail wear for the Welcome Dinner and Cocktail wear or Formal Wear for the wedding day. There are no color requirements - you're on vacation , go crazy!
YES! One of the biggest reasons we chose this venue is because it is a private property. There are two houses on the property with refrigerators, grills, ovens, stoves etc. Feel free to go to the local grocery stores to buy snacks and food to cook/grill. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for the rehearsal dinner and wedding day will be provided for guests. If there is something special you would like to drink or eat, feel free to bring anything you would like! Since we have reserved the venue property for 4 days, we are able to use it as our own and cook breakfasts, lunches and dinners anytime.
If your invitation includes a plus-one, they are welcome. Otherwise, we are keeping the celebration as intimate as possible.
Children are a blessing and are invited…however, blessings come at many volume levels :D We encourage parents to thoughtfully consider whether this event will be fun for their little travelers...and for you. If your kiddos are still mastering the art of sitting still and whispering during a ceremony, we completely understand if you opt for a sitter.
Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for. In place of a registry, we’re simply looking forward to celebrating with you. No gifts or cards necessary.
No. If you only want to attend one or two events for the week, we completely understand! This is your vacation too - enjoy it how you would like!
You will receive a detailed itinerary in your formal invitation. That being said, here is a summary of some of the things we will do: Day 1: Check in & Welcome Dinner Day 2: Wedding day! Day 3: BBQ by the Pool, Kayaking and R&R Day 4: Check out
Please pack clothing for warm weather, bathing suits, beach towels, beach toys for the kiddos, wedding attire, SPF and anything else you would like. No need to bring beach chairs or recliners. The venue provides these.
Yes! Most of the guests attending the wedding are extending their vacation (either before or after the wedding week). Feel free to explore different parts of the Keys. Each island is unique and beautiful!
Key Largo, and the rest of the Florida Keys are known for their untouched, natural environments. It is very common to do outdoor activities in the Keys such as kayaking, boating, diving, snorkeling and sailing to see the coral reefs and animal life. You can also partake in more relaxing activities like shopping and chilling pool-side if you wish. Check out the Florida Keys website here to see what there is to do: https://fla-keys.com/
