As May approached and we were supposed to be sending our invites, the world experienced a Pandemic. No one knew what to expect in the days, weeks, or months to come. With everyone going into Quarantine and the Keys shutting down completely to visitors, we knew we had to move our May Wedding. We thought things surely would be better by the fall, right? So we re-looked at date and re-booked the date that worked for us in the fall as the dates were becoming scarce. Once the stay at home order was lifted, we decided to visit my parents over the same weekend that we were supposed to be getting married. And for those of you that don't know...We decided, let's just do it! With a ton of debating, we prepped for a small backyard ceremony with a few days notice. We may not have had rings or I didn't have THE dress, but I was able to have a few special things like my something old (Grandmother Mason's handkerchief), something new (another dress to wear!), something borrowed (lace from my mothers wedding dress), and something blue (a Tanzanite bracelet from Brad). We zoomed in the bridesmaids and groomsmen that were not able to be present, as well as, face times Brad's parents who were still quarantining in Louisiana. And we zoomed in our officiant who married us! It was a lovely day and spontaneous day. But we can't wait to truly celebrate with all of our friends and family in person! We realized that October still isn't the right time to celebrate. We have our fingers crossed that our 3rd date will be a charm to celebrate. And Celebrate our 1 year anniversary! Thank you everyone for your support and understanding through this crazy roller coaster year!
