How We Met

April 10, 2018

Who knew we'd be one of those social media couples? But here we are, 2 years later, getting married. It all started with a Facebook friend request. We had a couple mutual friends but neither of us actually knew each other. That Facebook friend request turned into Facebook messaging, texting, phone calls, dates, engagement, and now on to marriage!

The First Date

May 5, 2018

For our first date, we met at Mellow Mushroom in New Albany, Ohio. We spent the whole time talking. Neither of us were ready for the night to end. So we found a way to make it last longer. And what better way to do that than dessert! We headed to Graeter's and sat on an outside bench for another couple of hours continuing to talk about pretty much anything that hit our minds. If you ask either of us, we'd both tell you that it felt like we had known each other forever.

The Proposal

September 20, 2019

Chris asked me if I wanted to go on a walk with the kids at Buckeye Lake on the new walking path they put in. I didn't think anything of it, it was a place we went to often for walks and we enjoyed being by the water. We walked what seemed like forever one way, and half way back he had us all "take a break for a minute." Next thing you know, we all started walking again. We held hands and I even asked him, "Why are your hands so sweaty?" Still completely oblivious as to what was going on. We walked towards the other side of the path, and turned around to walk back to the car. We all started to get in, until he said, "Hang on, come to the front of the car." Next thing I knew, he was on one knee and that's when our true forever started. Of course, there were lots of hugs between all four of us. And the excitement was uncontrollable! I remember Noah hugging me and saying, "Hi, mom." And that's where our family was complete.

Getting Married

May 23, 2020

Love is patient....but we weren’t! With all the craziness going on with a worldwide pandemic and plans constantly changing, we went ahead with our original wedding date. We wanted to keep everyone safe and healthy, but we also didn’t want to wait any longer to be married. So on May 23, 2020, the four of us loaded up in the car and headed to our original wedding location. It was very plain, no special decorations or dressy wedding clothes. Just the four of us, our pastor/friend and his wife/our friend in the middle of their yard. That day, we legally became a family! We went out for ice cream at Whit’s to celebrate and then a trip to Buckeye Lake to fish. That’s right, that’s how we spent our wedding day! Now we can’t wait to do the big thing with all of our friends and family on October 24, 2020!
