Question

How will you prevent spreading COVID-19?

Answer

Unfortunately this virus can spread even with the contraceptive of a proper face mask, however, we ask that all guest PLEASE BRING your face mask. We will try to have some on site but in case we either run out, or well forget as we are human, you are properly shielded. Even though the event is outdoors, we ask that you please try and self quarantine 14 days prior to the event. We understand that this may not be possible, thus, having a face mask will certainly protect both you and other guest. We also ask that you bring additional hand sanitizer to use in addition to the wash facilities and sanitizer that will be provided on site. Temperature will also be checked before entry.

Will plus ones be allowed?

Answer

Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 we had to downsize the wedding considerably. Due to this unforeseen situation we will not be allowing plus ones or anyone without an invitation to attend. HOWEVER, we will be sitting up a live video to the ceremony for all those who will be missed. Additionally, we will ask guest to live stream reception videos as well.

What if my plus one is a child?

Answer

Unless pre-approved, even children will not be permitted to attend no matter how adorable they are. This will help reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19 for not only the guest, but your child as well. Those who let us know in advance that they cannot find a proper and safe environment for their child may be allowed to bring their child.

How do I RSVP?

Answer

RSVP’ing will be done electronically on Zola and we will also shoot you all a text message to see if you will be attending in person. We will be sending everyone a save the date card if you can attend physically but will also give everyone an invite to our Facebook group to share all wedding information and virtual videos of the event. You RSVP by clicking the three lines and clicking RSVP if on mobile or simply by clicking the RSVP tab if on a desktop. You will then type in your name and RSVP the events you can attend. You will be RSVP’ing for both yourself and your immediate family/partner. If you are unable to RSVP virtually, please reach out ASAP to inform us of the error & we can confirm you personally. Please refrain from text messaging RSVP’s unless necessary as most viewing this page are tech savvy.

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP as soon as possible but no later that 30 days prior to the event. We will not accept an RSVP on or after June 26th. If for some reason COVID-19 gets worse rather than better, we may have to change the date. If that occurs, please note that we will advise you of a new RSVP date as your schedule may change as well.

Where is the wedding ceremony and reception?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will be located in one location; Hawthorn Gardens. 19157 Michigan Ave. Marshall, MI 49068

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive between 2-2:30pm but no later than 2:40pm. Please respect that we will need time for the ushers to seat you before the ceremony begins promptly at 3pm. I know that we all like to joke about cp time, however, this is not the place or time for tardiness and being late may leave you standing until the bride has walked down the aisle. Thank you for understanding!

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress is semi-formal. Please do not arrive in jeans and a T-shirt or crop top. Shorts and skirts are permitted so long as they are halfway down your thigh, if applicable, and are semi-formal. Two piece outfits are acceptable even if a crop top but please be respectful in their style/fashion as children will be present.

What colors should be avoided for the ceremony?

Answer

Please refrain from wearing white. Any other color is acceptable especially the weddings theme colors. The weddings theme colors are Jupiter/Emerald Green/Dark Green/Forest, White, Black, and Silver. Again please do not wear white unless you were previously asked too.

What is the menu and can I make special request?

Answer

Unfortunately we will not be taking special requests. If you cannot indulge in anything from the weddings menu, we ask that you please bring a lunch. The weddings menu will be as follows: Meats: Baked chicken & Bbq ribs Sides: Loaded mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, and mixed vegetables. Salad Dinner rolls

What time is the reception scheduled to conclude?

Answer

We plan to conclude at 10pm promptly to allow for proper cleaning. We ask that you do your part to keep the facility cleanly; meaning please clean up your trash.
