Our Love Story

We met through a mutual friend at Savannah State University. We were not interested in each other, but a strong friendship ensued. We were never more than a call away from each other. I moved back home to Atlanta in 2012, but came to Savannah to visit often. One fateful night, on 08/08/2015 after a family event, my cousin pressured me into going out. We ran into each other at a club in downtown Savannah. We connected and have been together ever since...

In 2018, 2 days before Christmas, Jalil had bought the ring and left it in his car. As he, I and, Londyn were riding down the street, Londyn finds the ring in the back seat and gives it to me. I immediately burst into tears thinking that Jalil was proposing. Jalil, who was driving, saw me crying, and snatched the ring away. He then tried to convince me that he wasn't ready to ask yet. Even my sister tried to convince me that Jalil wasn't going to propose on Christmas morning. Two days later, while having breakfast as Londyn was opening her Christmas gifts, I thanked Jalil for making breakfast and told him I loved him. He then said "Prove it", and got down on one knee. While it was no surprise, I still cried LOL
