Wedding Party

Katherine Chung

Maid of Honor

I was 11 and Katherine was 12 when we first met at WPCA. Katherine walked in wearing an oversized, bright red wind breaker with perfectly straight hair. 20 years has gone by since that day and she has been my human journal; crying with me, laughing with me, being still with me, praying with me and earnestly wanting the best for me. From Torrance to San Diego to NYC to Monterey to Korea, she has been my pillar through it all. Words can't describe her presence in my life. Katherine is my soul sister God gifted me with.

Eddie Song

Best Man

We first met during our college internship in 2004. Grew close while working on an Independent film in the Summer of '06. We were partners-in-crime while living in Korea in '07-'08. Became brothers-in-Christ when we both gave our lives to the Father. We've seen each other grow up from jjasiks (idiots) to the the men God created us to be. He encourages and champions who I am more than anyone I know.

Angie Ko

Bridesmaid

A gentle soul is who Angie is. I don't know anyone in the world that is as pure-hearted as Angie. We served youth group together out of college and prayed, served and loved the things God's heart broke for. Angie's heart mimics God's, the way she freely loves and sacrifices for her loved ones. I am blessed to be one of them and to be showered by her sweet presence for the past 15 years.

Lawrence Jee Lee

Groomsman

When I first met him Jee back in 2011, he walked into small group in an all-powder blue track suit with a black, flat-brimmed Atlanta Falcons hat. Afterwards, we walked a couple blocks and ate some Gray's Papayas. We ate there quite often since then. He's as strange as they come but as loyal and honest as one can be. I used to always encourage Jee to draw closer to God but now he's the one encouraging and challenging me to spend as much time with Him.

Joanne Lee Moon

Bridesmaid

Joanne has been my voice of truth for the past 20 years: the older sister I never had, bible study teacher, pastor, counselor, teacher and everything else and more! I truly am who I am today because of Joanne's existence in my life. Passionate soul that is full of love for the Lord is who she is.

Raymond Kim

Groomsman

Ray probably knows me better than others because we share the same tendencies. He identifies my strengths and weaknesses and embraces me for who I am. We have run together, served together, shared lots of laughs and our struggles the past several years. We share and carry each other's burdens. I probably love him more than he knows.

Grace Yang

Bridesmaid

When I think about Grace I just laugh because of all the memories we've shared the past 10 years. Grace has stood by my side and listened with a tender heart, always quick to receive me. Grace's vibrant soul and joyful heart always encouraged me to look up towards our Father.

Mike Choi

Groomsman

One of the first conversations I had with him was about marathons and he immediately decided that he wanted to try it out. Before you know it, we've run 4 marathons together and also served in the same ministries, became roommates, and went on mission trips together. Always dependable, always willing, always steadfast in friendship and service, and ALWAYS has faith in our God no matter the circumstance.

Jungwon An

Bridesmaid

Jungwon is the most generous and tender hearted person I know. The way she loves so deeply and cares for me is humbling because she doesn't expect anything in return. 10 years went by as our friendship grew full of precious memories I hold dear to my heart.

Andy Bae

Groomsman

First met Andy in NYC and instantly connected due to our love for the Lakers and Dodgers. We moved back to LA from NYC around the same time and commiserated together about life: being unemployed, being single, maturing from boys to adults, finding a job, living together for almost two years, and just laughing about silly things. We can always smile and share the good and the trials of life with one another.

DJ Oh

Bridesmaid

I was paired up with DJ as a prayer partner for Mexico Missions 3 years ago. I assumed DJ was a guy so in the prayer meeting I was looking for a guy but was quickly disappointed when DJ came up to me to introduce herself. God knew I would need someone like DJ in my life after moving back from NYC. There was a innate connection right off the bat and we formed a special type of bond that linked us together through our minds and hearts. I love that we can be free souls together.

Jiwon Gwak

Groomsman

Jiwon and I met in Seoul for, what seems like, a short period of time. But, in that time I was able to witness him meeting his, now wife, for the first time and was able to be with him as he prayed for and pursued her. And we met when we were both at spiritual crossroads; me, finally deciding to give my life to Christ, and Jiwon, coming back to Him after being away. We've lived in different cities since, but he does not fail to call me (never text) whenever he gets the chance. He's taught me what it really means to be a true and constant friend.

Amy Tzou

Bridesmaid

I first met Amy at Eastside DC and she walked into bible study with a chic fur vest. Through Mexico Missions our relationship deepened as we served, worshipped and shared our life stories. This past year, even though I was 6,000 miles away, distance wasn't a factor in our relationship as Amy loved me unconditionally. Amy points me back to the heavens and centers me by guiding me to pray and be still.

Eric Wong

Groomsman

It seems like i've been running with Eric ever since I first met him. It started as a morning jog up at Big Bear and next it was countless miles of training for the LA and Revel Canyon marathon. During our long, arduous runs, we got to talk about whatever that came into our minds. Since we met, he's become married, a first-time father, a small group leader, and he's got a lot of jokes.

Soeun Park

Bridesmaid

Soeun is my greatest gift from NYC. We met at Pratt and survived 5 years of immense sleep deprivation studying architecture. We were roommates, thesis partners, each others alarm clock, my personal cook, therapist, and my survival kit. We bonded over ditching our first studio together and going to central park. Every moment in NYC is precious to my heart because Soeun's sweet soul is part of it.

Elson Wong

Groomsman

Elson is one of the steadiest runners I know. And in life, that translates to being one of the most dependable people I know. It may be from being the oldest brother of 3 boys, or it may be from his leadership role at his church, or his devotion to his students at work. All I know is, he's always running, always improving, always encouraging, and constantly growing. Thankful for Elson for always challenging me to keep running.
