From their first date at Cheeba Hut in Denver, Colorado, meeting in masks under the rules of Covid, Courtney and James never looked back. Courtney remembers sneaking into the bathroom to call her best friend and maid of honor, Jozette, just to tell her she didn’t want to mess this one up. Both growing up in Illinois and sharing a love for snowmobiling, amongst other things, conversation never dulled and soon turned into the wee hours of the night. Their relationship quickly evolved once they discovered how much their dogs loved one another and couldn’t be apart. After a quick year and a half, Courtney became James’ new roommate in Littleton (sorry Reed). They spent the next 4 years in Colorado doing the things they both loved…camping, kayaking, hiking, snowboarding, snowmobiling, dirt biking and hanging out with their friends that they now share. Fast forward to March of 2024, they took a leap of faith and moved across the country together where they settled in Appleton, WI. They worked hard to settle into their new lives, new jobs and soon, their new home. Not too long after, they found out they were welcoming a new addition to their little family. In the midst of it all, James got down on one knee and made it more official than it already was. Little did they know that day at Cheeba Hut would be the last first date they ever went on and lead to a life that they are so proud to share with all of you. They are so excited to celebrate the life they’ve built—and the one they’ll continue to build—with all of you, in a place that means so much to them.
