FAQs

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

Yes! Skytop is a family-friendly resort, and we would love for your little ones to join us and enjoy the celebration. Please note that children will not be able to attend the afterparty. For your convenience, we will have a babysitter available on-site in the craft room (just a 2-minute walk from the reception). You’re welcome to drop your kids off there at any point during the wedding day if you’d like a little adult time.

Question

What does “summer formal” dress code mean?

Answer

Think formal, but with a light and summery twist! Bright colors, airy fabrics, and seasonal styles are all encouraged - the more color, the better. The ceremony and cocktail hour will take place outdoors in Skytop’s garden, so we recommend choosing footwear that’s comfortable on grass or uneven ground (block heels, wedges, or flats are great options) AND something light as it could be hot in July!

Question

Is there a Welcome Party?

Answer

Yes! We’ll be hosting a welcome party at Skytop to kick off the weekend - this will take place right on property at their "Lakeview Cabin". There will be food and drinks available for everyone, so once you’ve checked in, you can relax, grab a bite, and start celebrating with us right away!

Question

Can I bring a plus 1?

Answer

If your invitation includes a plus-one, it will be clearly indicated. Due to space limitations, we’re only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.

Question

What should I do on Saturday before the ceremony?

Answer

Skytop offers tons of activities, so we highly encourage you to make a weekend out of it. When you check in, you’ll receive a weekend flyer that includes all of Skytop’s scheduled happenings, along with everything we have planned for the wedding weekend. Skytop organizes activities every hour - from outdoor adventures to more relaxed options - in addition to the many amenities available around the property. Whether you’re looking to stay active or just unwind, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
