I met Artem in August 2010. I was a sophomore in college and he was a freshman. I was a freshmen mentor at @fresnopacific so I was the chosen one to tour him around campus. Show him where he would take classes, eat at and live at. When I met him I hated him. I mean he was this immature boy out of high school and pulled all the stops to annoy me and interrupt my study sessions. One day I actually did kicked him out of a study session. When my accounting classes started he walked in and i realized... geez! This freshie is good at accounting! I knew I had to be nice to him after that so I could get a solid study partner. Late study sessions turned into nightly runs that then turned into 2 am trips to drink the worst in n out coffee. I knew he was special then but I never imagined he’d be the love of my life. We connected in 2013 when he invited me to dinner and made me drink too much white wine. We ended up kissing most of the night and I just thought he was a good kisser, but not the love of my life. He persisted many years to make me his and I never accepted it. He was my best friend not my love. I thank God every day that Artem never lost sight of me even though I had no intentions of being with him. He snuck into my heart when I wasn’t looking and made me fall hard. I knew there was something about you that would impact my life. I never in a million years imagined that I would be exchanging vows with him. I cannot thank God enough for you. You love me for me. You fight for me, not with me. You have taught me more about love than I knew. I’m just Soo blessed.
