Ceremony Guide
BARAAT
The groom, his family, and friends parade to the wedding venue with dancing, dhol (drums), and other traditional instruments. The procession will begin at 10 am at Marina Park. (40.72559398815408, -74.03336249436744)
BRIDE'S ARRIVAL
The bride arrives at the mandap (stage) for the first part of the ceremony.
JAI MALA
The Marriage Garland is the first thing exchanged between the bride and groom, and the rest of the rituals follow after it.
PHERE
The bride and the groom hold their hands and take seven rounds around the agni (fire) and promise to be with each other for eternity.
ASHIRVAAD
The couple will seek blessings from the priest, family, and friends.
