We first crossed paths at a birthday party through a mutual friend. Funny enough, neither of us really wanted to go to the party. After the party, we continued the night with our friends by playing games, laughing through a comedy show, and getting to know one another even more. While traveling through the rolling hills of Chianti, Italy, we spent the day on a wine tour surrounded by breathtaking views of vineyards and golden Tuscan sunlight. What I didn’t know was that Ian had been carrying the ring with him the entire time, patiently waiting for the perfect moment. As we paused at one of the vineyards, we asked someone to snap a picture of us. Just as I smiled for the camera, Ian turned to me, dropped to one knee, and proposed. It was the most magical surprise!
