... when Andrew and Sydney met at American University in Washington, DC. Sydney, hailing from Jupiter, FL, and Andrew from the suburbs of Pittsburgh, quickly became good friends living just two doors down from one another in their freshman year dorms. By the end of the year, they decided to give the whole dating thing a try. Four years later – after countless DC adventures, trips to Florida and Pennsylvania, 12-hour time differences as Andrew studied abroad in China, and too many sorority and fraternity functions to count – they graduated and began their lives together in two different cities – Syd in NYC and Andy in DC. After long-distancing it for a year, Andrew made the move to the Big Apple, where the two shared a tiny, six-floor walkup. Later that year they adopted the love of both of their lives, Mango, a rescue dog that Sydney met while working on the set of Animal Planet’s Puppy Bowl. When the pandemic struck in 2020, Sydney and Andrew hunkered down in NYC for the long haul. Sadly, COVID shut down their long-anticipated trip to Paris, so instead they drove up to Hudson, New York for a quiet Labor Day Weekend away. Of course, Andrew had a little something up his sleeve and would get down on one knee in a quiet park to pop the question on September 5, 2020. Andrew and Sydney will get married in the place where they fell in love and one of their favorite cities, with all their closest friends and family. After nine years of being boyfriend and girlfriend, they'll finally become husband and wife.
