Question

What's the cost to stay at camp?

Answer

$115 for Saturday night only or $200 for the whole weekend. Includes lodging, all meals, and activities.

Question

I can't stay over but I want to come to the wedding. Is there a cost?

Answer

No, silly.

Question

I want to attend, but I'm allergic to cabins. Where can I stay?

Answer

There are a number of inns and B&Bs in nearby Littleton, NH that you are welcome to book as an alternative. The White Mountain hotel isn't too far away either. However, you must coordinate your own transportation if you choose to stay off-campus.

Question

What is there to do at Ogontz?

Answer

Ogontz has its own lake and a number of recreational features to offer. There are acres of mountain trails to explore, a boathouse with canoes & kayaks, a swim house with a floating dock, a wood fired hot-tub next to a waterfall, campfires, tennis courts, volleyball court, soccer/kickball fields, many quiet sitting areas to relax and hang out in, etc. If you’d like to bring along any field games you love to play, please do! We’ll have a bunch of different games, but you are welcome to pack your soccer ball, corn hole boards, baseball gloves, or bike if you’d like! There is tons of space to play!

Question

What should I pack?

Answer

The weather in mid-August should be warm, however, nights could be cooler. We suggest checking the weather for Lyman, NH before you pack. We are planning for the ceremony and a few other events to be outside, so plan accordingly. Here is a short list of recommended items for the weekend: - Comfortable clothes for indoor/outdoor activities (swimsuits too!) - Wedding Attire - Bug spray & sunscreen - Snacks – We promise to feed you well at meal times! If you get hungry between meals, you may want to pack snacks. Just make sure to store snacks in a sealed container like a cooler to help keep critters away. - Water bottle - Any lawn games you love to play (although we have plenty!) - Alcohol (or other beverages) and cooler (if you need it) for your cabin in case you want to have a drink while events are not going on.

Question

What is the wedding attire?

Answer

Dressy Casual. The rest of the weekend is very relaxed. Wear clothes that you’re comfortable in but plan on bringing layers for the evening. The only rules at Ogontz are shirts and shoes are required in the dining room.

Question

Can I bring a pet?

Answer

Unfortunately, pets are not allowed on the property or in cabins.

Question

How about our kids?

Answer

Camp Ogontz is a perfect venue for those looking to have a nice relaxing weekend and to act like a kid, kid-free! However, we want to enjoy the weekend with you regardless, so feel free to bring those babies. For cost and planning purposes, please note the resort charges for any kids over the age of two, and childcare is not provided.

Question

CAN I (DO I NEED TO) BRING MY OWN BOOZE?

Answer

We’re planning on providing beer and wine to our guests during activities and meals throughout the weekend. For the rest of your stay, you are welcome to bring whatever you like, just like at a hotel or campground. There will be a refrigerator provided in the dining room where you can keep things cold and the camp has plenty of ice.

Question

HOW DO MEALS WORK? I AM A VEGETARIAN/I HAVE A NUT ALLERGY/ETC.

Answer

All meals are served buffet-style at specified times. Upon arrival, you will be given a schedule complete with meal times and any planned ‘organized’ activities. Coffee, decaf, hot water for tea, and ice water are available all day between meals. It is important to let us know if you have any dietary restrictions. Ogontz cannot accommodate all diets at every meal, so if you have concerns please contact us. The meals at Ogontz are organic and prepared fresh.

Question

WHAT SHOULD I DO WHEN I ARRIVE? WHERE SHOULD I PARK?

Answer

Check-in starts at 3 p.m. on Friday, August 13 for those staying two nights and at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 14th for those staying one night. Please check-in at the Post Office building located in the center of the camp right along Ogontz Road. We’ll have schedules for the weekend, maps of the campus, and some other goodies to give you when you arrive. Once you unload your belongings into your cabin, please park your car in the parking pasture. There will be a copy of the camp map in your welcome packet and signs pointing you in the right direction. The parking area in the central part of the camp is reserved for staff & guests commuting back and forth to the property and for camp vehicles. Speaking of camp vehicles – we will have a golf cart available for anyone who needs transport around camp.

Question

Who should I contact if I have a question?

Answer

Reach out to Christine or Andy!

Question

Are there rules at Ogontz?

Answer

Yes, there are some rules at Ogontz, which will be provided when you arrive at check-in. Here are a few super important ones to follow… -No smoking, candles or any other kind of flames in or around the cabins or buildings. Fires are ONLY permitted in designated areas, including the fireplaces and wood stoves in indoor cabins. - Follow NH state laws (fishing, boating, drinking, driving, etc.) - If something isn’t working right or breaks, please let someone on the Ogontz staff know. The sooner they know, the sooner they can fix it! (ex. a faucet with a leak or a running toilet, a bed slat slips out of place, etc.) - Have a blast!

Question

What is the accomodation like?

Answer

The accommodation ranges from Adirondack glamping cabins with shared restrooms to small lodges with private amenities. Lodging will be assigned based upon party size and length of stay (with Covid in mind).

Question

What about Covid??

Answer

We are hoping that by August, everyone who can and wants to be vaccinated will be. If you haven't been vaccinated, we ask that you receive a negative Covid test within 72 hours before arriving at Ogontz.
