Do you have any hotel recommendations?
Answer
Yes, please check out the Travel section of the website. We have wedding group rates at selected hotels. All of the hotels listed are 10-12 minutes from Sparrow Ranch. Please book hotel rooms soon since the wedding block room rates will expire after April 13th.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?
Answer
There is not a designated parking lot on the property but we encourage all to park as orderly as possible in the front yard.

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?
Answer
Yes, the Schedule section has a list of activities we have planned for the entire week. Anyone attending the wedding is welcome to join us for any of the events.

Do we have to purchase our own tickets for the Botanical Garden Photo Shoot?

Yes, please purchase your tickets by 4/30/2022 since tickets may run out.

Is there a dress code for the Botanical Garden Photo shoot?
Answer
Yes, please wear white colored semi-formal (or dressy casual) outfits for an outdoor setting. For the guys, a white buttoned-up with khakis pants will be a safe bet.

Do we have to participate in all the activities?
Answer
No, all events are voluntary. The events offer a way for us to spend time together between both sides. There will be many ways for everyone to get to know each other.

What are the food options served at the reception?
Answer
We will have Lao & Thai style street food catered from Sabaidee restaurant during the cocktail hours between the ceremony and reception. For the reception, we will have an on-site local food truck serving mexican street tacos, quesadillas, birria tacos with consome.

Is there an open bar?
Answer
Yes and the bartender will have a customized drink menu for guests. However, he can make other drinks that aren't listed as long as he has the right ingredients.

What would the weather be like?

Dress for warmer/hot weather as temperature will range between 70-95F.

What is all included as on-site?
Answer
We will have the main house of the Sparrow Ranch Retreat along with The Nest and The Cottage. We also have access to the pool, lake, and hiking trail. All amenities are open to all guests.

What amenities are there on site?
Answer
There will be a pool right behind the main house. The venue is also on a lake with supplied canoes and kayaks. There is also a small walking trail around the lake for a short hike. There will be various indoor and outdoor activities stationed around the site.

DFW is 15.3 miles (23 minutes) away from Sparrow Ranch DAL is 30.6 miles (39 minutes) away from Sparrow Ranch

Is there a curfew?
Answer
After 10pm we would like to have no more loud noises to respect other guests heading to bed early and also putting kids to bed. The night of the wedding, we will extend this to midnight. We encourage everyone to still socialize and be active if they wish to stay up, just use quieter voices.
