Question

Will Transportation be Provided to The Welcome Party?

Answer

YES! Parking is limited at the venue. With this in mind, we have arranged transportation for you to the Skull Creek Boathouse. Pickup will begin at 6:30 pm in the Westin Lobby and will run on a continuous loop until the end of the night.

What should I wear?

Answer

For the Welcome Party, the attire is Lowcountry Cocktail. Think Dressy Casual meets Beach Chic. For the Wedding, the attire is Black Tie Optional, meaning Black Tie is preferred, however Formal attire is great too.

Can I bring a date? Are kids welcome?

Answer

Please take a look at your invitation to see who’s invited. We made sure that each invitation was addressed to those invited. As for the little ones, although we love them, our wedding is an adults-only event. Where should I stay?

Answer

Hilton Head is a beautiful beach destination with many options for your stay. We have reserved a block of guestrooms at the wedding venue, the Westin Hilton Head Island Resort and Spa. We've also made some recommendations on the Travel & Stay pagewith direct links to make your reservations.

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Early April on Hilton Head is such a beautiful time of year. Just keep in mind that it can get a bit chilly in the evenings. The weather can change pretty quickly, so it’s a good idea to dress in layers.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our wedding ceremony will happen outside on the Westin's Ocean Front Deck, overlooking the ocean while we say I do. (Don't worry ladies! We won't be in the sand.) After the ceremony, we’ll have a fun cocktail hour on the same deck with drinks and snacks for everyone to enjoy. Then we’ll move the party inside to the Grand Ocean Terrace for the wedding reception, where we’ll celebrate with a great meal and some dancing with all our friends and family.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Our Ceremony will begin promptly at 5:30 pm. We suggest arriving by 5:20 pm to find your seat.

Is it okay to take pictures during the wedding?

Answer

We kindly ask that you do not take photos during our ceremony. We want you to be present and soak in the moment with us! We will gladly share the professional photos of the ceremony when they're ready. As for the rest of the night, go for it!
