We met on a warm summer's night on the patio of Chasers Bar and Grill in Madison, Wisconsin. Sophie was drawn to Andy’s voluminous hair flow, and Andy was hooked on Sophie’s contagious smile and laugh. We went on our first date to Maharani’s Indian restaurant (the only place to go for Indian food if you ask Andy) and bonded over stories of traveling and our love for adventure. Our relationship grew while enjoying life in downtown Madison as Andy finished graduate school and Sophie started her nursing career. Last summer we were fortunate enough to fulfill a mutual dream of backpacking across Asia, where Andy proposed amongst the beautiful karsts of Ha Long Bay, Vietnam. Sophie of course said “YES” through lots of sweat and tears. We plan to move to the San Francisco Bay Area in the beginning of 2020 to further our careers and seek out a new adventure together.
