We're getting married!!

Sierra moved to California from Wisconsin in January 2024, and soon after met Andy while volunteering at church. Wanting to get to know the new girl, Andy asked if she’d like to grab coffee. What he didn’t realize was that the coffee happened to fall the day after Valentine’s Day, which may have suggested something a little more “date-like” than he intended. The result was a coffee meetup that was impressively awkward for both of them. Life moved on, but over the following months she and Andy became good friends while serving alongside each other at church. Months later, while working together to fix Sierra’s beloved Jeep, something shifted. Somewhere between tools, problem-solving, and conversation, they both started to realize there might be something more there. They began dating, though the road wasn’t perfectly smooth. At one point Sierra even broke things off. But after several months of remaining friends, continuing to spend time together, and working through some things, they both realized the same truth: there really was something special between them. Over time the friendship that started it all grew into something deeper — a partnership that just felt right. That became even clearer when Andy made a quick Christmas trip to Wisconsin in 2025, where he met most of Sierra’s family and received a proper introduction to Midwest winters. Then, on February 15, 2026 — the anniversary of their famously awkward “not-a-date” coffee meetup — Andy took her for a beach walk and asked THE question. This time there was nothing awkward about it. Sierra said YES.

Shortly before the wedding, Sierra and Andy plan to move to Wisconsin to begin their next chapter together. They’re looking forward to spending the summer getting settled, introducing Andy to more of Midwest life (and probably more snow than he expects), and building their new home together. Andy will also be finishing his college degree, while they both continue serving, working, and seeing where God leads them next. As for what the future holds after that? We’re excited to find out.
