COVID UPDATES

Dear Family and Friends, We are looking forward to celebrating with you at our wedding on October 2, 2021, at the Barn of Chapel Hill. We have been closely monitoring the COVID situation and would like to take a moment to share some important safety protocols we will be implementing for the event, all of which were created based on current CDC guidelines, as well as state and local ordinances. Because the health and safety of our guests, as well as our vendors, is our #1 priority, we kindly ask that anyone unable to follow these protocols reconsider attending the event in person. We will be providing a live stream of the ceremony and would love for anyone unable to attend in person to join us virtually. Please take a moment to carefully read the protocols detailed below, and do not hesitate to reach out to us with any questions. Thank you in advance for your cooperation. We love and appreciate you, and look forward to celebrating with you in October! With love, Andy + Kaitlyn
Question

Do I need to get the vaccine?

Answer

Given the recent surge in COVID cases as a result of the Delta variant, we are requiring all attendees to be fully vaccinated. Per the CDC, you are considered fully vaccinated two weeks after your second dose of the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine, or two weeks after your single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

Question

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our wedding ceremony will take place outdoors, followed by an outdoor cocktail hour. The reception will take place inside the Barn, with indoor and outdoor seating provided for dinner service.

Question

Will I have to wear a mask?

Answer

In accordance with the Orange County indoor mask mandate, we are requiring mask use for guests while indoors when not eating or drinking. Masks will not be required during the outdoor ceremony or cocktail hour. *Of note, on-site wedding vendors will also be wearing masks while indoors.

Question

How many guests will be at the wedding?

Answer

We are expecting approximately 150 guests, which aligns with current local and state ordinances and our venue’s capacity restrictions.

Question

What if the surge gets worse?

Answer

There is a possibility that increased case counts and evolving local restriction guidelines could force us to postpone our event. We will be making every effort to have details finalized by September 13, 2021, at which time we will reach out to update you should there be any necessary changes to the current plan. Updates will also be provided via our wedding website.

Question

Will I be able to watch the wedding online?

Answer

Can’t make it to the wedding in person? No worries! We will be providing a live stream of the ceremony for loved ones unable to join us at The Barn.

Question

What if I still feel unsure about going to the wedding?

Answer

If you are having any reservations about joining us in person due to concerns for personal health and safety, or that of loved ones, please do not feel pressured to do so. We will wholeheartedly understand and support your decision and know that we will be just as excited to have you join us virtually.

Question

Can I reach out if I have questions?

Answer

Should you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us via email at kingliuweddingupdates@gmail.com.
