Our story started NYE 2014. A "friend of friends" connection was made, and even a charitable (ask Courtney) New Year’s kiss sealed the deal. A week later, the official first date took place and a few more thereafter before winter break of our senior year ended. Courtney was student teaching before graduating from Illinois State that May, and Andy was finishing up at Millikin the following December. Needless to say, both families gave two thumbs up! Our relationship grew with weekend trips to visit each other as school came to an end, then starting our careers. The biggest test of our relationship was when Andy decided to move to Colorado for the winter of ‘17-’18. Weekend trips lengthened to once a month trips, yet our relationship still prevailed. Almost 5 years later, a A LOT of marriage hints and comments from Courtney, and a ring in Andy’s pocket, it was time to pop the question!
