Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We'd love to see our friends & family get dressed up with us! The dress code is Black-Tie Optional- this means you can wear a tux, evening gown, formal suit, or cocktail dress. No jeans or denim, and please avoid shades of white! The ceremony & cocktail hour will be held outside, so plan accordingly.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. Thank you for understanding!

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

We love your little ones! However, we have decided to keep our wedding and reception an adults-only event. We encourage you to use this evening as a fun night out! Cheers!

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will begin at 5:30 PM. We recommend arriving at least 30 minutes prior to the ceremony to allow time for parking and finding your seat. Guests who arrive late will be asked to wait by the reception area until the ceremony has concluded.

Question

Can I take pictures & videos during the ceremony?

Answer

We have hired very talented professionals to capture our day, so we ask that you honor our 'unplugged' ceremony. Once the ceremony has ended, everyone is welcome to take pictures and videos of the rest of our special day! Make sure to tag us- we can't wait to see your posts!

Question

When do I need to RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by March 1st, 2025. If you do not RSVP by the given date, we will assume that you are unable to attend. Events (other than the Welcome Party) will have personalized seating arrangements and will include RSVP'd guests only.

Question

What do I do if I can't make it?

Answer

You will be dearly missed! If you cannot make it to the wedding, please RSVP "not attending." If plans change and you cannot make it after you have RSVP'd, please let us know as soon as possible so we can plan accordingly.

Question

What are my options for transportation?

Answer

The Kentucky Castle is a 15-20 minute drive from downtown Lexington. Our venue has free on-site parking available for guests, so guests are welcome to drive! We are also providing a shuttle option from 21c Museum Hotel for guests who do not wish to drive- you can find more information about the shuttle in the "Travel" section of our website. You are also welcome to use Uber or Lyft. We will be serving spirited beverages, and we want to make sure everyone gets home safely.

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

Information regarding hotel blocks and other places to stay is available in the "Travel" section of our website.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes! Enjoy drinks on us on wedding day.
