As soon as possible, pretty please — we’re working on a tight timeline and sending out both electronic and physical invites (because why not do the most?). Kindly RSVP by May 20, 2025 — a few weeks before the big day and just early enough to keep our wedding elves from spiraling.
We are! You can find all the details on our Registry page at the link above. Happy browsing (and thank you)!
Classy casual is the vibe — this isn’t a black-tie affair, but it is Los Angeles, so show up looking good, feeling great, and being unapologetically you. It’s late spring, which in LA means we might kick off with a little June gloom, but these grooms are betting on sunshine by midday. If not, c’est la vie — the show goes on, clouds or no clouds. Think light and breezy: linens, silks, flowy summer fits. Rock creams, pastels, jewel tones, florals, or lean into Black & White for Friday the 13th flair. No bride here, so white is fair game — we’ll be wearing it too. If you want to dodge the weather in style, we’ve linked some fabulous parasols below (yes, Friday the 13th can still serve a look). There’s no step-and-repeat, but between the two of us and these iconic LA views, trust — you’ll want to bring your summer glam.
This is a bit of a guerrilla wedding — Griffith Observatory doesn’t do reservations, so we’re making a little magic happen on the fly. Please plan to arrive around 10:00 a.m. and no later than 10:15 a.m. We’re aiming to kick things off by 10:30 a.m. sharp, if not a little sooner. We’ll be greeting everyone near Saturn (yes, the planet!) by the obelisk, then gathering on the western lawn — think Hollywood Sign to your right, Pacific Ocean to your left. Because it’s Friday the 13th and early in the day, we’re expecting a quieter crowd. That said, it’s a public space, so if a few random hikers crash the audience, just consider it extra local color. Feel free to bring a blanket or something to sit on — just no chairs or pre-ceremony concert vibes, please. Reception details will be shared at the ceremony. If you can’t make it to the vows but want to join the after-party, let us know — no judgment, just good times ahead.
We sure do — head over to the Travel page linked above for hotel, airport, and general travel tips. We did the homework so you don’t have to.
Absolutely — just email us at AndyAugust613@gmail.com ahead of time so we can make sure you’re taken care of.
The Observatory has a designated ride-share pick-up and drop-off zone for Lyft and Uber. There’s paid parking at the Observatory and along the road leading up. Reception street parking is free (we love that for us). If you’re local — or planning to toast with some beer, wine, or bubbly — we highly recommend grabbing a Lyft or Uber.
Please plan to arrange your own transportation to and from both the ceremony and the reception. No party buses this time — just good old-fashioned self-mobility.
In a world that feels a little wobbly, we wanted a moment that felt solid — a celebration of love, community, and wonder. With the love and support of our families (something we’ll never take for granted), we pulled this day together — just the two of us — in under three months. Every detail was shaped by our hands, our hearts, and a shared vision for something beautiful. The teamwork it took to build our wedding will be a north star guiding the vast expanse of what we’re capable of together. The Griffith Observatory captures so much of what we love — the beauty of science, the magic of the unknown, and a view that reminds us why we call the City of Angels home. It’s a little cosmic, a little sacred — and now, it’s where our hearts become one.
