Our Mission

To Love God & To Love Others

We believe that the purpose of marriage is to serve God and to serve others together, while learning how to love each other unconditionally. We feel so blessed that God has brought us together to share our lives and to grow together. "And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.' The second is this: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no other commandment greater than these." - Mark 12:30-31

Our First Date

August 19, 2017

Andy's Perspective Our very first date was spent venturing on paddleboards into the waters of Lake Washington. We learned a great deal about each other, such as who we were, who we are, and who we want to be. It was most certainly one of the deepest first dates that anyone ever has experienced anywhere in the history of any time. After we went paddleboarding, we adopted my cat Schmitty. After all this, I wanted to show her my adventurous side and try cooking something new, quesadilla burgers, and it was ok. Since then, it has been a constant imperfect adventure with many unknowns that we could never have predicted which have strengthened our relationship with God and with each other. I am so excited for all of the adventures with Ariel, my future wife (and for finally perfecting my quesadilla burgers). Ariel's Perspective This was definitely the best first date I have ever been on. We paddled around the lake, sharing about our lives and our interests. Not only was it a ton of fun (we adopted a cat afterward!), it felt like we just clicked right away and our conversation flowed on for hours. His confidence and honesty were refreshing. Andy attempted to cook quesadilla burgers for dinner, which we laugh about now because it was disgusting, but I didn't mind because I was enchanted by his deep brown eyes, charming smile and endless stories. Since then, we've had many imperfect adventures together and I look forward to the many happy memories we'll make as husband and wife.

The Proposal

February 14, 2019

With a couple close friends, they ventured to the place where dreams come true - Disneyland. Ariel had not been to Disneyland since she was 3, but Andy loved Disneyland. He knew she would love Disneyland, and he knew he loved her. On the first full day of the Disney experience, they went to The Wishing Well near the castle, which happened to be completely isolated from the crowds that rainy Valentine's day. A few coins went into the well and a few wishes were silently made. Andy wished that Ariel would be his wife for the rest of his life. So after he flipped his coin into the well, he brought Ariel to the side, got down on one knee, and asked for his wish to come true. In the shock and awe of a decision for the rest of our lives, Ariel smiled and managed to utter an excited "yes!". He had made her wish come true... ...and they lived happily ever after.
