Fort Townsend State Park is located at 1370 Old Fort Townsend Rd, Port Townsend, WA 98368. For those using GPS, entering this address will guide you directly to the park entrance. Upon arrival, signage will direct you to the designated parking and event areas.
Wear whatever makes you comfortable! We’ll be outdoors in a state park, so if that means hiking pants and a flannel, go for it. If you want to wear a dress or a suit, that’s great too! Just know that fancy shoes might not be the best for dirt paths. Honestly, outdoor tech clothing costs more than formalwear these days, so if you want to flex your GORE-TEX tuxedo, we fully support it.
Absolutely! We might not have enough seats inside the barn for them but the entire state park is an awesome place for kids to explore! There are trails, open spaces, and plenty of spots to play—just keep an eye on them because the woods are big, and the deer don’t babysit.
To park at Fort Townsend State Park, you’ll need a Washington State Discover Pass. A one-day pass is $10, and an annual pass is $30—both can be purchased online, at local retailers, or right at the park entrance. We know this is kind of a hassle, so if you need help figuring it out, just let us know! Parking is also shared with other park visitors, so carpooling is a great idea if you can swing it.
We are committed to ensuring all our guests feel comfortable and welcome. The ceremony and reception site is accessible via paved pathways suitable for wheelchairs and strollers. If you require any specific accommodations, please let us know in advance, and we will be happy to assist. https://dashproject.org/ describes local accessibility efforts
May in Washington can be a mixed bag—warm and sunny, cool and misty, or somewhere in between. A light jacket or layers are always a good idea. And yes, it might rain. But hey, that’s what your GORE-TEX is for, right? If the weather cooperates, we'll hold the ceremony outside. We also plan to have an outdoor play space area with volleyball, corn hole, ladder ball and yard games.

We will do our best! We're ordering from a local barbeque place and will have a good mix of food, and it might get messy. For dessert, we will be encorparting s'mores (also messy). If you have any dietary restrictions, let us know in the section about dinner when you RSVP and we’ll make sure you’re taken care of!
There is some fantastic food in Port Townsend! If you love a snug breakfast in a port town, do not miss the Blue Moose Cafe. It’s tiny and absolutely delicious. The Hudson Point Cafe next to the Hudson Point marina on the other side of town is also wonderful. You won’t go wrong with seafood anywhere in Port Townsend. Looking for old school amazing fish and chips? Try the super hole in the wall Sea J’s Cafe. Try Finistère for just a bit fancy (in a really good way) comfort food. The Stillwater Cafe and Fountain Cafe are good options for classic and delicious Pacific Northwest fare, including, but not limited to, seafood. Like all towns in Western Washington, expect tasty Thai food. Try Banana Leaf Thai. You can find pizza at Waterfront Pizza or Hillbottom Pies (which also has actual, delicious dessert pies, too). Head to Key City Tacos to go for a quick taco on the run. If you’re a fan of poutine, make sure to stop at the Old Whiskey Mill! They have several house varieties of poutine. Finally, make sure not to miss Elevated for really amazing made-in-house ice cream and candy.
