As any modern single does during these dark and unprecedented times, Andy and Amelia took to Hinge in search of love. It was a spring day in 2021 when they first matched; Andy's kayaking photo drawing in Amelia, and Amelia's amazing hair drawing in Andy. Jokes were made, numbers were exchanged, and conversations flowed. When all of a sudden, silence... Amelia went on a journey. A journey of "I am going to ghost every man I know and focus on myself". And that she did. She worked at a horse barn as a stablehand. She started a new job in PR. She moved into an apartment in uptown Dallas with her besties. What did Andy do during that time, you ask? Who's to say. After all of that, the chill of a November breeze drew Amelia back onto Hinge. As the cold settled into DFW, she decided she did not want to be alone this winter. -- November 2021: Swipe. Swipe. Swipe. Suddenly, a message popped up on her phone. "Maybe: Andy" Scrolled across her screen. "Yoo I just passed you up on hinge again. I was like "I think I know her." Did you ever want to like, go out or anything lmao" -- And the rest is history. Amelia and Andy were engaged in April 2025 in a field of Texas bluebonnets. While it was mostly a surprise, Amelia suspected something might be happening and did everything she could to prepare for the exciting moment—new white dress, nails done, a facial—just your typical prep… for anything. And now, they’re excited to celebrate with the people who supported them along the way.
