Andy and I first noticed each other during a young adult event at church. Allie saw him again at Mass on Easter, but he didn’t see me. We officially met each other at Catholic Speed Dating at the end of September in 2024. We both matched with each other so we were given each other’s contact information. Andy was the first one to message me to start talking. Our first date was at Cebollas Mexican Restaurant. We talked and learned more about each other. We decided we wanted to go out again so our second date was at Wrigley Field Bar. We talked for several hours there. We continued talking and getting to know each other and hanging out. November 24, 2024 after church, Andy asked if I would officially be his girlfriend and I said yes! I eventually met his daughter, Zoe. We have taken a few trips together and made many memories together. We’ve learned and have grown together. December 6, 2025 after a Knights of Columbus Christmas dinner at the church, before we left Andy wanted to walk over to the St. Charles statue. He said “we met each other here at church, I asked you to be my girlfriend here at church”, and then he got down on one knee, a couple of weeks after having knee surgery, and asked me to marry him, and I said YES!!
