Twisted X Brewing Company
You may have never heard of Twisted X if you live outside of Central Texas, but their core beers are exceptional. We would recommend any of there mainstays, including the Pilsner, Kolsch, and Bock. We haven't strayed into their dark beers, yet, but we have no doubts that they are just as good.
Family Business Beer Company
Family Business Beer Company is exactly as it sounds, a place to relax, have a beer, and let your kids play on the playground. If you are a fan of the SciFi show 'Supernatural' co-star Jensen Ackles and his family founded the brewery.
Jester King
Jester King is Austin-renowned for their sour beers. There isn't any indoor seating, but the outdoor area is massive, with plenty of seating, games, and play areas for kids. Come for the sours, stay for the Texas ranch vibes and the pizza next door.
Desert Door Distillery
Do you know what sotol is? We didn't either. Sotol is made from a native Texas desert plant, the Desert Spoon. If that isn't enough information, ask groomsman Eric Thomas. One of his family members is an owner of the distillery.
Lyndon B. Johnson National Historical Park
LBJ Ranch is scenic look into the life of native-Texan and Presidnet Lydnon Baines Johnson's life. The ranch sits on the banks of the Pedernales river. Watch for cattle as you drive by and be sure to stop to see Air Force #2.
Hamilton Pool Preserve
If the weather is nice take the 0.5 mile hike to famous Hamilton Pool Preserve. Our wedding weekend is the last weekend of the year you do not need a reservation. Starting in March, it will be packed with swimmers until fall.
Wimberley Square
The craft stores and walk-able town square make Wimberley a hill country tourist attraction. Plus, it is just a few miles down RR 12 from Dripping Springs. The last time we were here, we ate dinner at a restaurant just hours before it burned to the ground. We had good alibis.
