Our story is a clear reminder that God’s hand has been over us from the very beginning. Our union in matrimony is a blessing from God, and we know we would not be anywhere close to this moment without His love, mercy, and faithfulness. What started as a simple connection at Chick-fil-A in October of 2019 became something far greater than either one of us could have imagined. From Julio’s side, he remembers being completely drawn in by Andrea’s laugh. While working shifts together, he saw her preparing orders and thought to himself, "her laugh is so contagious." She had a way of filling the whole room with joy, and he knew right away he wanted to know her. He even reached out to her friend in hopes of making a hangout happen. From Andrea’s side, when she first saw Julio, she did not think too much of it at first. She thought he was cute, but moved on. Then one day, Julio texted her asking to swap shifts, and after that, he kept finding reasons to text her and keep the conversation going. Before long, she started wondering, "Is this guy interested in me?" Then came their first date in November at the movies, where Andrea famously fell asleep, classic Andrea. But after that, along with more dates in January of 2020, came countless late nights on the phone talking for hours and hours. Somewhere in those conversations, it became obvious to both of them that there was something truly special here. Their connection felt unlike anything else, and no matter how long they talked, they never wanted it to end. By June 12th of 2020, they made it official, and what began with a contagious laugh, a scheduling text, and a sleepy first date grew into a love story marked by deep friendship, joy, and grace. Now, as they prepare for marriage, they look back and see that every moment was touched by God’s goodness. He is the reason they are here. He carried them, guided them, and blessed them with a love that surpasses any human understanding. Their story is not only about how they fell in love, but about how God, in His perfect mercy, redeemed them and shaped them to be who they are today.
