Sometimes love finds you in the most unexpected places. Ours began with a message and grew into something unshakeable, built on friendship, faith, and time. We met in Valdosta, Georgia. Parrish was in graduate school, and Andru had been stationed nearby while serving in the Air Force. Our paths crossed on Bumble, but the actual connection happened offscreen. What started as a friendship quickly became something real. We spent our days getting to know each other — cooking together, binge-watching shows, exploring town, attending festivals, and laughing often. Around Parrish’s birthday, Andru threw her a party that showed just how closely he listened and cared. When one of his friends casually asked, “So what’s really going on between you two?” we both already knew the answer. From that moment on, there was no looking back.
Love didn’t just bring us together — it shaped the family we’re building. About a year and a half into our relationship, Parrish traveled to New York to meet Andru’s family. It was during that trip that she met Skye for the first time. That moment was thoughtful, intentional, and the beginning of something real. After that visit, our relationship grew stronger. We moved in together and began creating a life rooted in love, care, and commitment. Our family grew with the birth of our son, and later, with the surprise blessing of twins. Life hasn’t always been easy. We were learning how to blend lives, raise children, grow individually, and support one another through both hard and beautiful seasons. What has remained constant is our choicem, every day, to choose each other.
We’ve always found joy in traveling together and creating memories that feel like our own adventures. From Savannah and Jacksonville to Niagara Falls and countless trips to Omaha, it’s never been about the destination, just that we were together. Some of our favorite moments have been the simplest ones: four quiet days in a mountain cabin, a cruise to the Dominican Republic, slow mornings with no pressure to be anywhere. Wherever we go, home is always each other. When Andru proposed in 2024, it wasn’t a grand production, it was intentional, quiet, and full of love. After brunch, pedicures, and a long day, Parrish came out of the bathroom to find Andru on one knee. He smiled and said, “Now that you’ve got your nails done… will you marry me?” Shocked and laughing, she said yes. That moment didn’t come in perfection, it came in peace and it reflected everything we had already built.
