We matched on Hinge in December 2023. A casual swipe that started it all. Our first date was on December 14, 2023, at Toasted Coconut in Houston, Texas. Andrinae arrived late, (very on brand). What was supposed to be a simple dinner stretched into nearly five hours. The universe then tested us. Our next few plans fell through. A museum date. Sushi date. Even an early-morning airport ride that ended before it began when Nd got pulled over for speeding on his way to pick her up (also extremely on brand). Still, somehow, the connection never dimmed. On New Year's Eve, Nd showed up at Andrinae's job with flowers and a card. That was the turning point. After that, it was on. We saw each other every other day that week, and by date number three, Andrinae already knew. This was her husband. What started with a swipe became intention, effort, and a whole lot of love.
