We met where most people find their soulmates, middle school! Sheridan caught Andrey's eye when they were just thirteen years old. It was the month of love and Andrey was determined to make Sheridan his valentine. He got to school early that day so that he could buy her a Valentine's Day rose from the student council table. Every year, the student council would sell rose's on Valentine's Day and donate all of the money they made to charity. Andrey carried around that rose all day and was excited to give it to Sheridan on the bus loop after school ended. When he finally found her outside, he asked her to be his valentine, she said yes with a big smile on her face and then they hugged quickly and ran off to their buses. Once Sheridan got home, she decided that she wasn't ready for a middle school romance, and told Andrey that she had to un-accept his rose. Devastated, Andrey's heart broke. They didn't speak much after that until ninth grade, where they coincidentally had art class together and were assigned seats next to each other. In art class, Sheridan and Andrey would exchange smiles and begin to rekindle the spark they had in seventh grade. This time they took it slow and spent the year getting to know each other more and looking forward to those forty minutes each school day. When tenth grade rolled around, Sheridan and Andrey were still just good friends who both secretly had crushes on one another. One day, Andrey boldly asked Sheridan if she would want to date, but she was still scared of being in a committed relationship. She told him that if they were still "talking" (what the young kids call the in-between stage before officially dating) by December 10th that she would finally be his girlfriend. Little did she know how quickly those two months would go by. On December 10th, Andrey went up to Sheridan with the biggest grin on his face. He asked her if she knew what day it was and she said "no." She had completely forgotten about their little arrangement, but was secretly excited that they had still been "talking." From there, Sheridan and Andrey began officially dating and fell completely in love with one another. From Junior Prom, to Senior Ball, to Graduation... Sheridan and Andrey spent all of high school together (little did they know that they would be getting married someday). When it came time for college, Sheridan and Andrey went to separate colleges and did long distance. It wasn't always easy balancing everything but Sheridan and Andrey were determined to make their love go the distance. One thing that always remained throughout all of the years and different changes, was the love they had for each other and the willingness to hold onto their special relationship. After four years of college, Sheridan and Andrey both graduated and set their eyes on Buffalo, NY! They found the perfect little apartment to start their new adventure together and a year later decided to get their first puppy. They planned a mini trip to Bethany Beach for the weekend because they were picking up their puppy in Maryland and wanted to make the trip worth the drive. What Sheridan didn't know was that Andrey was planning on proposing on their last night in Bethany. Bethany Beach has always been a special place to them because it's where they always took trips over the years. Sheridan calls it her happy place! Andrey hired a coordinator to create a whole set-up and a photographer to capture the proposal. When Andrey and Sheridan got to the beach and saw the set-up, Sheridan couldn't believe it. She instantly cried and when Andrey got down on one knee, she couldn't say "yes" any faster! We could not be more excited for this next chapter in our lives! We had the gift of growing up together, and now we have the gift of growing old together. See you at the wedding!
