To say either one of us knew the moment we first met would be far from the truth. Truth is it seems like there has never been a time in our lives that we didn't know one another. However, a defining moment that I will never forget was way way back on September 22nd 2010, on our very first date. What did we do you may ask? Well we did the only thing two small town kids that just got their license would do, we rode around. We drove out a full tank of gas from daylight to dark, we talked about everything, we jumped off a bridge (into a creek), we laughed, told secrets, got lost (very literally), and we just got to know each other. I will never in my life let that sweet memory slip away from me. I still continue to think about it to this very day. Unfortunately, we were young and dumb, and the timing just never worked out for us back then. So we lost touch, except for an occasional catching up on Facebook Messenger on one of our birthdays. At least until 2017, when we really started to talk again. Before we even started really "talking" we decided to load up and go on a friends cross-country trip. Another defining moment for both of us! Spending every second with someone for 21 days really gives you the chance to truly know someone unlike ever before...and we did it twice! The very next year we did another cross-country trip to the Pacific Northwest, and even though we were strictly friends on both trips, the second is where we really fell in love with each other. A few months after our second trip we decided that we were so much happier together than we ever were apart, and it has truly been walking on air ever since.
