Bride
McKenna and I met in 5th grade on the first day of school. Yes, the story of us being in the same "pod" and her not letting me write my name on our group poster is very true even though she may claim it's not. I think it's so crazy that my best man Max and I used to talk about McKenna and me getting married someday. I guess I did have it all figured out at an early age. McKenna and I maintained a close friendship ever since 5th grade and I couldn't ask for a better friend. It truly is impossible to imagine this life without her, I can't even picture it. The first couple years of this relationship were super challenging but I know neither of us would change a single part of it. It helped shape this relationship and I am so excited to continue to grow together. I could not be more excited for June 21st, I love you so very much!!! -Robert
Groom
Rob and I met in 5th grade when him and his twin sister, Kaylyn, moved and began attending Scandia Elementary. I don’t remember how exactly we first interacted, but if you ask Rob he will give you some story about how we were assigned the same desk group and I didn’t want him to write his name out on a large sheet of paper because I didn’t want his “messy” handwriting to ruin my artistic masterpiece (it’s probably true). Kaylyn and I were the best of friends, and Rob and I too became very good friends. He was always there for me while we grew up, to hangout and laugh with (and occasionally make fun of), but I never dreamed of the amazing person he would become and continues to outgrow each and everyday. We began dating right after high school graduation and made it through many phone calls, plane rides, and letters to get to where we are now. To put it simply, Rob is hands down one of the best people I have ever met (well, I am marrying him after all). His love for all facets and flaws of me and his unwavering patience and respect are reasons (among many others) why I can’t imagine my life without him. I can’t wait for our big day, Rob. Love you!! -McKenna
Maid of Honor
I’ve known McKenna my whole life; we grew up as neighbors and rarely spent a day apart. One of my favorite childhood memories was McKenna waiting for me outside with snacks to get off the bus in kindergarten (cheesy chips or goldfish were the all-time-faves). From playing with dolls to playing volleyball together, there are truly too many memories to write about. I am elated to stand beside my sister on her wedding day. I always dreamed of McKenna finding someone deserving of the love she gives, and congrats Rob, you got my stamp of approval (;
Best Man
Robert and I met when we were 10. His family lived on our property in their camper for 5 months while they were building their house. The summer going into 5th grade was the best summer ever. We spent almost every single day outside jumping on the trampoline coming up with different games to play on it, riding our bikes on the dirt bike track, watching a ton of movies, playing on our iPods and the Wii, playing different board games, eating tons of freezies, and having sleepovers in our house. That summer was the foundation of a great friendship.
Bridesmaid
I first met Mac in 2012 when I started dating her brother. She was just a kid—but even then, she was mature beyond her years. Over the past 13 years, I’ve had the privilege of watching her grow into the incredible woman she is today—graduating college early, landing a full-time job at 22, and thriving while living out of state. Some of my favorite memories include cheering her on at volleyball games, watching her brother scare off any boy who so much as looked at her, late-night sober cab duty, and going on runs that turned into vent sessions for us both. She’s the little sister I never knew I needed, and I’m so honored to stand by her side on her big day!
Groomsman
I met Bobby ray in 5th grade, when he moved to Scandia elementary school. I met him on the first day of football practice and we quickly bonded over the love of football. We have been super close since then and have always had each other to hangout with. If the group didn't want to get together, we would always at least hangout and play Fifa and Madden. It was always a competition because neither of us can accept losing at a sport.
Bridesmaid
I met the bride in fifth grade when I switched elementary schools. Little did I know that she would not only become my best friend but also end up marrying my brother! We didn't live far from each other, and our friendship grew stronger as we played volleyball together through middle and high school. Some of my favorite memories are from our trips to Pathfinder campground. There was this one time we went fishing at the dock, and she used a dead toad from the road as bait. She ended up catching a huge bass! It's spontaneous moments like these that make me so grateful for our friendship and thrilled to see her become a part of our family.
Groomsman
I met rob when I was walking to first period with carter in 10th grade. My favorite memory’s with rob have definitely got to be working at Menards. I pushed carts and he worked in the lumber yard so i would have to go all the way back to talk to him, but it was the best job i worked and a lot of good memories were made. We both found a common interest in working out and getting ready for the military together and now we can share that together.
Bridesmaid
I met McKenna on the first day of our Environmental Law class during our junior year of college. I remember talking after class one day and thinking, "wow, we might just be the same exact person" and we have been inseparable ever since. Two years later, we have roadtripped across the country together, I've been to Minnesota 3 different times, and we are always dreaming of our future travels together. We have the same career on different sides of the country and love thinking of what the future will look like.
Groomsman
I met Robert back in middle school when our lockers were close together and have been great friends since. Our friend group is already so close so being friends with some of his friends like Cole and Shjon brought us closer and we began to all hangout in one big group. We used to always come to my house and have madden tournaments and go out late at night to get food.

McKenna and I met on a find-a-roommate page for college while we were in our senior year of high school. We instagram DMd each other at the exact same time to be college roommates! We quickly became not just roommates, but best friends and have spent practically every moment of the last 4 years together!
Groomsman
I met Robert through high school soccer. One thing I will never forget is that Robert was one of the first kids to come up and talk to me at tryouts. From then on, we started what turned into lifelong friendship. A lot of our friendship revolved around soccer, but in high school, we also began to spend time with the same group of friends. Robert and I started to hangout more and develop a closer relationship over the four years of high school. From then on, our relationship grew stronger over bonding in the gym or partaking in our late night shenanigans that we had no business doing in the first place. Our friend group has stuck together through college and I am grateful to have a friend like Robert entering into this next season of life.
Bridesmaid
I met Kenna during 9th-grade track and field season when she made the incredibly right choice to switch from sprints to distance, and that is when we immediately became lifelong friends. Our friendship grew overtime on the long runs, adventurous hikes, trips to Pathfinder, road trips & travels around the US, and late-night sleepover talks. She is an all-around friend who supports the people around her, laughs until she cries, and brings an optimistic attitude wherever she goes. Kenna is a person to be celebrated for all the love she brings to this world and soon to her wondrous marriage.
Groomsman
Robert and I met through soccer, we first played together in 2016 and played on the same teams all the way through high school. Our friendship extended outside of sports right away and we have been very close ever since. Some of my favorite memories together are when we would go snowboarding in the backyard at his or my house and every time we would eat a whole bag of pizza rolls after.
Bridesmaid
I was lucky enough to meet McKenna a couple of years ago during her time in Arizona. I had just moved there and my boyfriend, her oldest brother Corey, and I would visit her and spend time at the bar/ restaurant she worked at. We quickly became friends on our own, and would have girls-only dinners and bonded even more when she lived with us during her last month in AZ. We’ve traveled together and shared holidays from Hawaii to Boston and in between. It’s been such a joy getting to know her, and I’m so honored to be part of her special day to celebrate the next chapter!
Groomsman
I met Rob back in 4th grade when we played baseball together. Our friendship grew slowly throughout all the years i’ve known him and i couldn’t be any happier to call him one of my best friends. Our connection grew even stronger when him and i decided to work together at a golf course, and ever since then I knew that no matter through all the ups and downs he would always be on my side and i would be on his. Can’t wait to see how this next chapter of his life goes and i am honored to be apart of his special day.
