Matron of Honor
Dana is my most wonderful SEESTER! She’s the most creative, talented, and thoughtful sister I’ve ever had. She’s obviously been by my side since we were babes, and she will be my side forever. But ESPECIALLY on my wedding day!
Matron of Honor
Lindsey has been my best friend since PRE-SCHOOL! (But really - that’s when we met. Cue “Cheeseburger in Paradise” music video) She’s been my truest best friend since the 9th grade, always there for me no matter what. We’ve been through all of life’s ups and downs together and couldn’t imagine anyone else to hold in such high honor.
Bridesmaid
JaNell has been my best friend since the 9th grade. She’s the friend that is always there no matter the distance we’ve always been able to maintain our sisterhood bond. Through thick and thin she’s my go to.
Bridesmaid
Sarah is my bicycle-gang loving, calzone making, and wise advice-giving friend. Met in college, and have been praying for one another ever since!
Bridesmaid
Met Christiana when I was looking for somewhere to live in Wilmington. She was standing on a chair, we hugged, and became instant best friends. Christiana’s heart is so generous, and she never fails to make anyone feel comfortable.
Bridesmaid
Ashley and I have been besties for the last 3 years ever since I started attending Live Oak Church where she works. We went and got coffee, and we’ve been having regular Thursdates ever since! She’s my ride or die, always down for fun, wise and worship friend and I love her so.
Bridesmaid
Hannah Banana. When we first met someone told us we were twins, I kinda believe it’s true. She’s my mermaid, hipster, adventurous friend and I love her so. No matter the distance, our bond is always so very sweet!
Bridesmaid
Oh Elizabeth - I mean we all better thank her right now, because without her convincing me to stick this thing out we wouldn’t really be celebrating a wedding! Elizabeth and I became friends after a long walk around the loop learning about each other and our stories. Ever since, we’ve been living it up together!
Bridesmaid
Met Melissa when we were working at summer camp together. Ever since 9th grade we have travelled the globe, gone on so many adventures, prayed for one another during heartache, and have made each other belly laugh more times than I can count. Mel has been, and always will be there no matter how tough life gets. Love you Mel!
Bridesmaid
Han! This girl right here is the best. She’s always full of encouragement, but also always willing to give you the truth (in love of course). Hannah can get down with the best of them, and always always makes me laugh SO FREAKING HARD. She’s been there every step of the way through the Buffy and Paul love story, always praying and always encouraging.
Bridesmaid
Meags has always been a number one support of my relationship with Paul. When she loves something, she really loves it, and she’s been so encouraging and uplifting during this time. Meag has the best humor that comes out of nowhere, and that’s what makes it so great!
Best Man
Paul and Asa met in intro to graphic design and haven’t looked back since. They’ve bonded over creative endeavors, laughter late at night, and love doing anything outdoorsy together. You’ll never meet a more genuine soul than Asa. He’s so kind it can be kind of annoying. Asa has been Paul’s right hand man since the start, always encouraging, and giving wisdom along the way.
Groomsman
Aaron (or as he’s known on the streets - “Monkey Arms Van Groningen”) was definitely Paul’s cleanest roommate in college. He’s one of the funniest and most witty people you’ll meet. Aaron also just may be the wisest of the bunch (mainly because he married Brooke).
Groomsman
Jim is Paul’s brother in law. He’s the older brother Paul never had. He started off as the annoying guy that thought waking Paul up would be really “funny”, but has turned into a great friend, and someone Paul truly loves and respects.
Groomsman
Dave and Paul have seen 6 summers of camp ministry together. Through those summers Dave has proved to be a great mentor for Paul, and a wonderful friend. Dave is a passionate person that has a deep caring for people.
Groomsman
HUNTAAAA! Hunter is the most exciting history teacher you could ever want, but Paul knows him best for his incredible resume submission to be his roommate. Hunter is a fantastic friend full of awkward situations, subtle humor, and a laugh that is contagious.
Groomsman
Paul and Michael have been froomies (friends + roomies) for years. Michael is a kind and gentle soul with a truthfully decisive flare. Michael’s been on team Paul + Buffy since day one. He’s such a huge support, and we’re so glad he’s part of the crew.
Groomsman
It was love at first sight. A slow wind whispered in their ears that this friendship was here to last. Paul and Taylor love playing disc golf together (really any sport and/or card game). Taylor has been a great brother and friend throughout the move to Wilmington making Paul feel right at home.
Groomsman
Luke’s the guy that makes anyone feel at home, always. He always genuinely cares to know more about your life and grow with you. He loves to entertain, and if you’re lucky he’ll ask you some random questions.
Groomsman
Youri was the first man in Wilmington to let Paul crash at his house. It was the blossoming of a sweet friendship. Youri is wealth of knowledge, whether you need it or not. He’s a genuine soul, with a heart of gold, and a giver beyond measure.
Groomsman
Poor Michael has to work in close quarters with Paul, and put up with his shenanigans. Even still Michael has shown Paul nothing but love, comradery, and friendship as they work through many creative projects and simply hang out together. Thankful for the down-to-earth wisdom Michael always shares.
