Both Maddie and Jason grew up in the Wells-Ogunquit Community School District. However, they didn't become close friends until their junior year of high school. It all started in quilting class, when Jason gave up his love of blueberry muffins to begin the journey of a lifetime. Who knew the gift of a simple muffin could lead to the love that Jason and Maddie share today? Soon before they officially started dating, Jason would regularly text Maddie for help on their physics homework. Jason, a future electrical engineer, would just ignore Maddie's mistakes so that she would continue talking to him. Their texting quickly became flirtatious, which led to the beginning of their relationship in November of 2012. Maddie and Jason still look at each other like the stupid eighteen-year-olds they were when they started dating.

In summer of 2013, Jason left for college in Pennsylvania and Maddie began school up in central Maine. They knew the distance would be a challenge, but Maddie and Jason agreed that they'd just "see how things went." They quickly found that they only had eyes for one another. Maintaining their relationship was surprisingly easy! Maddie and Jason were still head-over-heels for one another when they both graduated college in May of 2017.

A year out of college, Maddie began mooching off of Jason as they moved into a janky little basement apartment in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Their love outgrew the mold in their apartment as they enjoyed spending lots of time with one another! The following summer, they thankfully moved into a much nicer apartment upstairs. However, the move didn’t create enough excitement for Maddie. She decided to test the strength of her relationship with Jason by secretly adopting a handsome puppy named Kelso. To Maddie’s luck, Kelso is a very good boy, and he and Jason are now best buds. In January of 2020, Jason proposed to Maddie on a walk with Kelso through the Marginal Way in Ogunquit, Maine. It was a beautiful, perfect day!

Now, Jason and Maddie are eagerly awaiting their wedding day and enjoying life in isolation with Kelso. Maddie is advancing her education at Tufts Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts as Jason continues to learn and grow in his career at Keysight Technologies.
