Downtown Northville
There are no formal events schedule for Friday night, and we recommend Downtown Northville for anyone looking for something to do the night before the wedding! This is a really cute mini-downtown area with boutiques, food, outdoor restaurants & bars, and live music on Friday & Saturday nights. It's only about 10 minutes away from the hotel and parking is free! Nicole grew up in this town, here are some of her favorite places in the area! Boutiques: Dear Prudence, Revir Coffee shops: Red Dot, Tuscan Cafe Food: 160 Main, Tirami Su, The Lava Grille, Table 5, Browndog Barlor and Restaurant Ice cream: Custard Time (best ice cream around), Browndog Barlor and Restaurant (they have amazing burgers too!)
Arts, Beats & Eats 2024
This is one of Michigan's biggest events in the metro-Detroit area every year and it just happens to be on the same weekend as our wedding! Arts Beats and Eats Events is a community festival in Downtown Royal Oak, featuring different artists, musicians and food exhibits from the Metro Detroit area and throughout the United States. For over 40 years, the Detroit Jazz Festival Foundation has celebrated Detroit’s rich history of jazz music by organizing the world’s largest free jazz festival, featuring world-class talent, over Labor Day weekend!
Boston Red Sox @ Detroit Tigers
For any sport fans, the Boston Red Sox will be in town and playing games on both Friday night and Sunday afternoon! They also play on Saturday night... but you'll be busy. Could be a great opportunity to check out the beautiful city of Detroit!

The Detroit Institute of Arts (DIA) is one of the premier art museums in the US, known for its diverse and expansive collection that spans centuries and cultures. Located in Midtown Detroit, the DIA houses over 65,000 works of art, including masterpieces from ancient civilizations, European and American paintings, and modern and contemporary art. It is truly beautiful if you have a chance to check it out!
