Hing Kee
Located in Chinatown, Hing Kee has the best pork soup dumplings in the city. We're regulars. This is also where Andrew told Molly we were going, when we got engaged!
312 Fish Market
Another Chinatown favorite, located in 88 Marketplace. Our favorite is the salmon and tuna sushi platter!
KAI ZAN CHICAGO
Dollar for dollar the best sushi and closest to our house. While more expensive than 312, it's worth it. Highlights are the Orange Rush, Maguro Pearls, and Polenta Bites.
Kasama
The best breakfast sandwich in the city! Make sure to add a hash brown. To avoid the long line, order it for pickup.
Oliang Cafe
Our new-ish favorite thai place (replaced Noodles in the Pot). The first meal we had in our new home!
Sabroso Chicago
There are a lot of great Mexican places in the city (if you asked Molly she would probably say Chipotle :/), but this is one of our favorites (and very close to our house if you are picking up on that theme). It's BYOB and doesn’t miss.
Small Cheval- Fulton Market
One of our favorite Friday night spots. Some of our other top burgers are at Rootstock, Leavitt Street Inn, and Best Intentions.
Midwest Coast Brewing Company
Very relaxed brewery with a new outdoor space that is pretty cool. We celebrated Molly's UChicago graduation here!
Tuman's Tap and Grill
We love Tuman's for brunch or dinner. Great omelette, burger, chopped salad, and fries!
Cleos Bar and Grill
Really nice summer spot with it's large outdoor patio and bocce ball.
Handlebar
Good food, drinks, and has a nice outdoor patio. We love their fried pickles!
Dark Matter Coffee
Our favorite coffee shops in the city - they have a few locations. While teaching, we spent many of our Sunday's together lesson planning at the “Star Lounge.” For Andrew's 30th birthday, Molly framed a bunch of Dark Matter Coffee bags that they had saved to create her first piece of art.
