Things To Do

We are so excited for you to visit Fort Worth! Here are some of our personal recommendations:

Fort Worth Stockyards

131 East Exchange Avenue, Fort Worth, TX 76164

Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth

3200 Darnell Street, Fort Worth, TX 76107

If you're into museums - we also suggest checking out the Kimbell Art Museum, Amon Carter Museum of American Art, National Cowgirl Museum & Hall of Fame, or the Sid Richardson Museum.

Fort Worth Water Gardens

1502 Commerce Street, Fort Worth, TX 76102

Bureau of Engraving and Printing - Currency Facility Tour and Visitor Center

9100 Blue Mound Road, Fort Worth, TX 76131

Only open on Friday - but BEP's Western Currency Facility produces more than half of the nation’s currency order. Visitors can see where billions of dollars are printed from an enclosed walkway, which is suspended above the production floor! See here for more details: https://www.bep.gov/visitor-centers/fort-worth-tx-tour-and-visitor-center

The Shops at Clearfork

5188 Monahans Avenue, Fort Worth, TX 76109

Fun area to walk around for shopping & eats! Check out the farmers market near Press Cafe on Saturday morning from 8-noon (more details at https://www.farmersmarket1848.com/)

Fort Worth Zoo

1989 Colonial Parkway, Fort Worth, TX 76110

Fort Worth Zoo named among top 10 best zoos (including by U.S. News & World Report) in recent years.

Enchiladas Ole' Forest Park

2418 Forest Park Boulevard, Fort Worth, TX 76109

Miriam & Andrew's favorite Tex Mex spot - you must have the brisket nachos! There is another location in the Camp Bowie neighborhood of Fort Worth.

Original Mexican Eats Cafe

1400 North Main Street, Fort Worth, TX 76164

Another one of our favorite Tex Mex spots!

Reata Restaurant

530 Throckmorton St, Fort Worth, TX 76102

Andrew's favorite is the Carne Asada - Texas / Southwestern fare in a ranch-themed upscale hotspot

Heim Barbecue on the River

5333 White Settlement Road, Fort Worth, TX 76114

Our favorite Texas BBQ! There's another location in the Magnolia area of town if you find yourself there.

Flying Fish

2913 Montgomery Street, Fort Worth, TX 76107

MELT Ice Creams - Magnolia

Of course Miriam has an ice cream recommendation! There is also a location in the Stockyards area (Mule Alley) of Fort Worth. The recent location in Sundance Square recently closed unfortunately.

411 South Main Street, Fort Worth, TX 76104

Homemade slice of pies for dessert or a snack! Delicious - hard to pick our favorite
