Andrew and Marjorie's first date was at a sushi restaurant when they were 17. They were seniors in high school at one of their first jobs - Vans! She was his manager and he would often get in trouble because he kept coming up to talk to her and would forget about the shoes piling up. After they graduated, they kept in touch through social media via greetings like "Happy New Year! Your pup is so cute, what kind is he?" (Little did she know at the time he could care less what kind of breed he was). Then one day Rocket had to go to the groomers so she took him to Andrew's parents shop, not knowing if they still owned it... it happened to be his moms birthday! They chatted for a bit and his dad made sure to get Andrew to text her so that they could reconnect. When the time was right Andrew asked Marjorie out but felt defeated when he could not find a restaurant that she had not been to... When they had their (2nd) first date, Marjorie went to the bathroom to tell a friend that she was having the best time and was already excited to see him again. They went to an arcade afterward where Marj beat him in basketball and ski ball, the rest is history!!!

On Marjorie's family trip to Colombia to celebrate her Abuelita's 100th birthday, he snuck the ring into his carry-on and waited for the right day where her family and friends were coming over to barbeque. He sneakily hired her mom and friends to set up a room while he took her outside to where live music and dancing was happening on the streets of Medellin. While being surrounded by all the Colombian culture around them, she happened to tell him how much he means to her, not knowing that an hour later he would do the same on one knee! He had candles, rose petals in the shape of a heart and music playing, when she entered the room extremely surprised and confused as to how he organized this without her knowing. He said sweet things that she can barely remember, hardly heard him ask THE question... and before they knew it, they were engaged surrounded by family and friends (including 2 nephews who could not stop giggling in the corner), and happy to have finally found their partner in life.
