100%, yes. Unless you are actively eating or drinking, masks are required at all times. We have guests who are immunocompromised (including the bride), expecting (definitely NOT including the bride), or have other factors that make them more vulnerable to COVID-19 complications. And, more than anything, we just want people to have fun and feel safe. Plus, it is the rules of the Saint Louis Zoo (the people who sign the bride and grooms paychecks) that masks are worn at all times. Please be respectful of this as Zoo staff (AKA our friends and colleagues) will be onsite to ensure masks are being appropriately worn. This job is fun for no one. Make it easy on them!
Possibly, but not likely. The event is taking place in two areas of the Zoo: the South Welcome Plaza and Schnuck's Family Plaza (this means nothing to Nebraska guests, we know) where animal viewing is limited. Also, with the wedding taking place after hours, most of the animals will have decided to go inside for the evening anyways. The train will be running during the cocktail reception so you might see a handful of animals at that time. If you are staying beyond Friday's wedding, we highly recommend planning a Zoo visit. And remember, it's always free entry into the Zoo!
Sooooo...about that...We are so excited and grateful that you are joining us for our wedding on Friday, April 30th. Seriously, it means the world to us and we cannot wait to celebrate with you. That said, planning a wedding in four months during a pandemic was kinda a lot and we weren't sure what all people would like to do while in St. Louis, so we don't have anything official planned throughout the weekend other than we will be stationed at the rooftop bar at the Live! By Loews Hotel on Saturday night and would love to see guests who are still in town! In addition, please check out the "Things To Do" page for suggestions of....things to do!
