Why no actual wedding?
Answer
There are several reasons why: We're both introverts and don't like public speaking. In order to pursue work that can keep a roof over our heads, we've moved away from family and friends. We know the ask of travel would be a great burden to many of our loved ones and an impossible ask for several. Wedding venues alone are astronomically expensive and that's before you get into catering and decorating. It just wasn't something we saw being feasible anytime soon, even if anyone was willing to travel to join us. It felt a little like defeat, but in the end we decided to just sign some paperwork and eat some off the shelf cake.

What if I wanted to travel?
Answer
We would love to see you. DC has a lot of great things to offer. There is a section of this website with a few of our favorites. Plan a visit and let's go do something together!
