We met in 2013 when we both enrolled for Law School, through our mutual friend Nicholas. We ended up being very close friends and after Law School, we found ourselves working in the same law firm. This strengthened our friendship and bond. We could literally tell each other anything and spent so much time together after work. At the time we were just very good friends. It wasn’t until 2017 when things changed and despite the challenges early on, look at us now 🥰. We are very thankful for this journey and most importantly our friendship, which has made things very easy.
Andrew had this whole epic proposal planned in his head and made arrangements for this. He told me that we would go to Cape Town for Easter Holiday and thus I should clear 5 days for the trip. Unfortunately, SA boarders for international flights were closed before our trip due to Covid19. On the 10/03/2020, we were in bed at around 10:30pm talking before we sleep and he told me “Babe, would you do me the honor of being my wife?”. I said YES without hesitation. On the day of his official planned proposal he came clean about his surprise proposal and how the perfect ring was stuck in South Africa and how it couldn’t make its way to Tanzania because of the lockdown. I think I would have fainted if it happened the way he planned (God was protecting me yo). I was awed by how thoughtful he planned it and to me that was more than enough. Our traditional wedding was planned for July 18, 2020 (without a ring of course😁) and 2 weeks before the traditional wedding he suggested a weekend gateway to Zanzibar to spend our last weekend as unmarried couple.....little did I know that he had another proposal planned. It was a perfect moment that I didn’t see coming and this time with the ring (the ring finally paved its way toTanzania) and I AGAIN said YES to the love of my life. Thank you Wamby and Sue for ensuring that my nails were done and without giving me a clue. And to my sister Aq, for doing everything possible to plan with Andrew.
